We practiced today. Below is the result. I’m not including the work because there were a lot of distractions-including the cats going through the tunnel with her!

I set up a small tunnel to practice. All of her agility training has been trained through shaping, so she is used to offering. Getting things on cue and getting her to listen to me is a big challenge.

She’s really good at sending the distance of the tunnel, thanks to the tunnel seminar last fall.

Here are 2 videos. The first one is of sending on verbal.

The second one is attempting to do the threadle piece.

Thanks! I realized that I was using my body to do it. I missed the fact that we were working on verbal only.

I am having problems getting her to send around the cone. I have to step in so deep that when I back up it automatically pulls her to me.

We did a little better today. Very short amount of time today as the neighbor dogs were back and I had to use half of my training treats to train everyone to not fence fight. I’m thrilled that Kira worked with me even though they were watching.

Should I use a platform for a sit and where should I have her start? We really dont have a solid stay. She really doesn’t listen to me at this time. She’s of that teenage age of not paying attention. I’m doing a Fenzi attention workshop too.

Most of my training in agility is using body language and not voice. So this is a bit of a challenge.
