ParticipantGame 2:
So… I thought some of Fever’s loss of enthusiasm was related to the environment. He just developed some sound phobia and I though I heard a firework go off in the first game. I heard it go off for sure in the second game and he has a clear change in his effort so just wanted to bring awareness to the loss in drive and me switching from toy to food. I’m happy he kept working so I was okay to continue the session with the reduced effort. This one was hard for us.

I thought we had good success initially. I started with check check which I feel is his stronger wrap cue- and somehow my favorite one to use. I switched to dig dig and he lost some enthusiasm. After a few successful tries, we had some failures. I’m not sure if that’s because I was asking for continued reps. Looking forward to your thoughts!

ParticipantThanks for the feedback. I also did week two course yesterday and did it with a front and a blind. I actually ran this course a second time both ways but the footage that did get recorded was of someone’s feet 🤦♀️. I did make sure to give her more info in the tunnels by calling her name in the tunnel to get a tighter turn the second non-recorded run. The very first run i didn’t give any verbal support so she was really wide. I do think she really enjoyed this speed circle. We did have a little sniffing but I think i was better at waiting for her to be engaged. I think my blind could have been a bit faster at the tunnel but straight tunnel blinds make be a tad nervous.
I often do run with blinds in full courses. I have included a standard run where I did a few blinds.

ParticipantThis was the second course. I started with the second (actually really really old) tunnel. Callie went in and then didn’t come out. We had pulled this tunnel out of storage so no telling what it smelled like. It’s not on camera but after she didn’t come out, I sent her in twice and just rewarded the tunnel before starting again.

ParticipantHere’s some of the work we did for lesson one first posted course. We are at a friends house which is not a place we train too often. I attribute some of that to her smelling/disconnect starting out. Running this, I had a hard time reaching jump 7 and ended up changing the angle some to allow our line/path to be better.
I tried to start working with a toy, however Callie is very selective about where she will tug or work for a tug so we ended up with food/food stuffed toy.

Participanthere is a video from a recent yard session I did with Callie on just box work. Reviewing it now, I can see that I should have ended the session earlier or made it easy because she slows down looking for guidance.
I also have a video of a standard run from our recent trial. She did a great job coming off the line. She avoided that table which I find happens occasionally and was a little slow after that and then picks back up towards the end. We have a perfect automatic down in class on the table but she can’t seem to offer a down in the ring. I suspect she likes to look around on the table in a trial and won’t down because of this. I did lead out here in this video.
