ParticipantPhewwww. I must say I’m exhausted because I was at a super high anxiety level all weekend worrying about my red boy. He was such a good man. He was like I got this. You’ve got me 😭
So standard- pre run is super long. Also why did YT default the thumb nail to me
bending over. Feel free to not watch all of it. I swear to got it was the parade of dogs while I was trying to get in. There’s a rat terrier group picture happening at the end. There’s a lot of people hanging off the fencing. He killed it in the ring.
This was an accidental Q. I didn’t mean to “fix” as much as I did, I was just trying to get back on a line.
I must say, I did see your weave advice. I really struggled with the best choice for us. I considered doing one-3 and then wrapping him but I really didn’t want to turn him back on the course that early running. I decided, I’d cue them, we’d take them if he did and otherwise we’d run by. I didn’t even see the DW as an off course.Jumpers- I loved his energy here. Intbink this was his happiest and highest runs. Weaves- I shouldn’t have called him back but I really thought he was just like wahoooo long line to a tunnel 🤘🤘🤘
He was initially looking back here before starting so he made me so happy that he worked so well. Mama didn’t trust him on the serp so we had a mild bump. Thankfully he chose not to take me out.Overall in the ring, I didn’t see any stress behaviors but I also know I made lots of depletions in our experience find.
Only moment I didn’t like from him was after jumpers- he was super high. A male BC slammed his ex pen at him as we walked by and he reacted. It wasn’t Fever starting it but it hurt his feelings. Then the other two intact males behind him started barking and lunging too- lots of big dick energy happening.
It took me about 10 seconds of him barking on the end of the leash to redirect him but he was fine.I’m really glad my whole village pushed me on this one, otherwise I wouldn’t have entered. This was probably one of THE hardest trial environments locally because the ring is so open and has so many visuals. I’m still naturally pessimistic and nervous, but I needed this weekend. Thank you. I am trying to sort out a few more trials before class ends but it’s looking the the last weekend in April or first weekend in May.
Carrie also really injured herself this weekend and still played support for me. I need to send her a fruit basket or something. Amy was also awesome as well as Antje. Before you suggested asking for help to me, I mostly just suffered in silence at trials and it really made quite the difference to just have people in your corner.
Really sorry about the long pre run videos. I had the hardest time timing how soon to get him out. I think I got him out 6 dogs early for standard and 7 for jumpers and it still took forever.

ParticipantRuns!
We started with fast which runs all classes combined. It was SO BUSY. Jamie almost lost her marbles. I’m really happy with what I got considering how busy it was. His awareness and wanting to look around at the ring around him did worry me because I was afraid he’d leave me. He had plenty of opportunities to make poor choices and chose to be the goodest boy.Standard- I felt like feelings wise, we were Goldilocks here. Perfect emotional state. Very happy with what I got. Courtney said I needed to cool it with my verbals at the end and let him commit first- fair and accurate feedback.
Jumpers- this was way at the end of the day- 5:40 or so. He was more worried walking in. There were two big male boxers staring at him that really worried him. Courtney and Carrie thought he looked great with no worries. I was overly freaky because he was worried outside of the ring. He came off higher than he went in which I loved.
After fast, I lost Amy as my film person so the pre and post stuff didn’t get filmed. The pre run is about 10 minutes long- I didn’t mean to get him out so early but there was a stall. Feel free to limit your pre run view because it’s long.
This was also a HUGE novice class. There were about 20 dogs 🤯

ParticipantI think he is ready! Don’t over do anything tomorrow or Friday
🤞 and deep breaths Jamie
I brought him to Carrie’s last night with Butter and Roulez. He was able to work his DW with Butter zooming around the yard which was excellent. We practiced our remote reinforcement and line up also with Butter wondering around. He was a good buddy.
He will rest today from gilities although may need some frizz time so j can live with him.
He’s in heaven with Butter here and trying to convince her that they would make beautiful babies 🤣.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantPerfect – just rehearse the leash-then-Carrie w/ friz before he sees it in the ring. And maybe Carrie can have a pocketful of cheese in case he wants food in that moment.</blockquote?
We tried this at DGF with two different toys. He much preferred the frizz and did very well waiting for it and tugged like a champ. First run, I had a bumper and he chose cheese. The second run, cheese and flying squirrel frizzer and that was the CLEAR winner. Is FAST first?
Can you bring in 2 frizzers so you can have one in hand and one down your pants (sorry but that is a good carry spot LOL!) in case he has trouble giving the first one back?fast is first, two frizzes is an excellent idea!
The stepladder was definitely a distraction for me – maybe not for him, but I was like “what the heck is she doing with that?”
Seeing as I couldn’t get it open, I didn’t know what I was doing with it either
Jamie Juckett
ParticipantWell, definitely FAST is great as FEO and then you can decide your approach to jumpers and standard. What is the facility like? I HIGHLY recommend you get your pattern games into a super happy place and also brush up on some tricks and remote reinforcement.</blockqoute>
It’s pretty similar to the arena in Kiln so at least I have one positive experience to work with. I have asked Carrie to be my ring helper. For fast, we will run FEO with a frizz
For Jumpers and standard, Carrie will be at the exit with his toy. He seems to know his let’s go for leash and reinforcement well in practice so I plan to utilize that. Of course, if I get him in the ring and it’s too much, I’m committed to leaving. No big plans for lead outs or stays, mostly just keep him moving and happy.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantTake a breath
Hmmm this was really hard for me. I let him get HOT- we only worked for about 3.5 minutes on the line up games and that’s all it took. I really really couldn’t see his nostrils flare easily so he might have gotten cookies for just being really really good looking. I tried.

ParticipantLine up games part 2
Well this isn’t exactly as RXed in your video but he wanted to work for the frizz over cookies.

ParticipantWhat is next on his calendar in terms of training or trials, so we can plan some things
He is entered 2 days this weekend under Courtney. 1 Fast run and 2 Nov jumpers/standard. I’m already feeling nervous- shocker I know. This is the first time I’ve entered him locally, and the drama/politics of agility here really gets into my head. I’m hoping I can shake it.
I need to plan further in April to utilize more from this class. Was she ouchie before NAC or did it happen at NAC
Her back was stiff but I didn’t know how ouchie she was. She had 12 trigger points when she saw Ken Bain Saturday and this was after she already had two massages.
Oh! also, I am working on teaching bark on cue. I was able to get tiny woofs at the start jump too. They were more inspiratory woofs than expiratory but he felt confident enough to make sounds!

Participant😭😭😭😭
I filmed a good training session at the warm up jump (at least I thought I did) and came back to a camera that turned off.
I was really anxious bringing Fevs into the big arena but he was pretty awesome. When we first walked in, he was so high, he was orbiting space. He really didn’t want to take food. We played the cookie toss game and he got into it and started to settle in. I brought him to the warm up jump and put a second leash on and practiced taking his collar off to look at me. He was definitely less snappy but did offer eye contact. He was readily doing all of his tricks for cheese but wasn’t feeling a ton of tug. I only had a ball on a string and not a frizz with me. He wasn’t a fan of sand getting on his cheese (I don’t blame him 🤢) so I had to switch to freeze dried chicken- which he loved. Something else that was interesting to me, as high as he felted and as cued into the environment he was, he wasn’t sharking treats out of my hand- he wasn’t avoiding eating either. His mouth pressure was perfect.
We also snuck away for dog diving and he was much better about coming off the dog and not feeling like the entire facility belonged to him and no dogs could share his dock 🤣.
Callie and I had a fun NAC but she came in way more sore than I expected. After 4 body work sessions and 2 chiro/laser sessions, I think she’s almost back to un-ouchie. We had two bars and a contact fault which are very few and far between for her.
Happy Monday!Jamie Juckett
ParticipantFever was the goodest boy today. He had his first golf cart riding lessons- the first of which included not yeeting yourself off the back. He was pretty convinced border collies riding on a cart was aboose.
I was so excited to film this engaged chill in the stalls while waiting for chiro and didn’t realize It was only 13 seconds long. He put himself in the down to watch calmly. He liked the pattern games too.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantOff leash engagement.
I’m happy with this in seminars, my yard, and new locations. In Carrie’s yard, however, my frienemy the pool is a struggle as he takes off for it as soon as the leash comes off so I need to work this there for sure.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantSerps!
We hit the road for NAC so this will probably be our last class submission 😭. At least I have another Tracy class to avoid the AU withdrawal and depression that comes when class is over Plus I hope to work some T2T stuff on the road.
We started this session out with a tooth hug that I left in for your entertainment. Overall pretty happy with this. We got trapped in a small vortex towards the end but I switched the sides and got him back.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantYesterday we tried a new training location. He worked for me, was a little less snappy and intense but did all the things and tried hard. I started with frisbee before agility, but he wasn’t as excited for his frizz. He played but didn’t like PLAY if you know what I mean.
We tried some engaged chill but also seeing if watching would get him excited. We tried watching Roulez but she had the nerve to face plant and her turn was short. He did get excited for her. He is watching Roulez’s sister and a corgi run here, not as exciting for him. He was also pretty hot. It was 80° which isn’t crazy hot but his motor runs warm.Jamie Juckett
ParticipantThe real World Series
So I wasn’t the best trainer here because we had some mistakes. It took me a few reps to figure out that Roulez screaming at him was too much pressure. I caught it in the video where he looks over a bit worried. We moved her and it went much better. He still wasn’t tight on the wrap but was able to know it wasn’t a left turn.
After filming, I switched to a frisbee and his arousal level hit a new gear. I had been using water toys at Carrie’s because I carry the arousal over from the pool but need to remember to do both. I wish I had video of that. We were just doodling around but he was fast and confident!
Jamie Juckett
ParticipantOmg this video was great: “LET ME LOVE YOU” lol!!!
He loves me, I promise. I keep saying this for reassurance. He loves me
He is happy to put his front feet on you… so when he does that, your job is to stand there with one hand on him, while you gaze into the distance. No hugs or kisses
I’m the netflix and chill generation so chill usually means affection. MUST TONE IT DOWN JAMIE
