ParticipantSmiley Face Game – She is getting it, except for the jump on the tunnel. LOL If I could keep my directions correct and consistent, we would be much better. Sorry about the mower noise.
I also ran Kiefer and Bader through this exercise with the wings about 25 feet from the tunnel entrances. Soooo much fun for everyone. Supersonic speed.

ParticipantHere is some work with wrapping vs. tunnel discrims. I worked the discrims a bit different than you demonstrated because I couldn’t envision when I would ever see a similar discrim on a course, i.e. asking the dog to go past the wing and into the tunnel without wrapping. But then, as I was editing the video, I could rationalize such a set-up, but…. I had already done it differently. Anyway, Cerid is still at the stage where she needs a pretty distinct set-up to ‘get it right’, but that is OK. We will work our way to higher level skills.

Participantre-visited the wraps and wrap/jump exercise. Progress.

No work for Cerid as I attended a herding clinic this past weekend. Cerid did get to come and meet 2 other 6 month old pups, but not too interested in playing with them. Oh well.My wrap commands with Cerid are not yet fluent, so I used another technique for wrapping. My throws need some work as one was way too high, and another met the ground only a couple feed past the jump.

ParticipantHere is the set point exercise with 2 jumps. I videoed before seeing your comments on the first video.

ParticipantThanks for the suggestions. And thanks for reminding me to time my release, i.e. when she is looking forward (to the bowl at this time).
What is the theory for throwing the toy back to the dog vs. going back to treat? It certainly is easier on me (saves steps). Does it matter if I throw it TO the dog or BEHIND the dog? -
