Thanks for sending. It’s very helpful especially the use of the x-pen

    Hi Kimberly,
I would like to try the backing up start line but I’ve never actually taught Mocha to back up. Could you send me the video on how to teach a dog to back up?

Thanks. I think I have it:
    1. Hold collar and say ready. Am I pulling back on the collar?
    2. Let go of collar and say tunnel. Is there a release word and then tunnel or just tunnel?
    3. Run like hell to catch up to her.

At a trial I get nervous when I don’t have a good lead out because I’m worried I won’t be able to run fast enough and things will fall apart. I guess I better get over that! Luckily we are pretty good at rear crosses.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi Kimberly,
I’m loving the material. Can you give me more information on what a sling shot start is? I’m not 100% sure.

    Thanks

    Hi Bobbie,

Mocha enjoys class very much and seems quite motivated. She will fly through the weaves in class whereas in a trial she is very slow. I have found in an all day seminar that she will start off with enthusiasm but slows down as the day goes on. It isn’t a question of physical conditioning as she is still young and fit.

I think she is pretty happy and friendly in other social situations but can be nervous at times.
