ParticipantThanks! I will work on this. Played the soft turns first step this evening in the backyard. He did pretty good, turning left was better than turning right and when I added big arm motion, moved faster caused him to get amped up and miss the cue. Learned that I need to say the word as he is “behind” me. And my older two decided they wanted a refresher and show off they could do this (for food treats of course.).

ParticipantGood suggestion. Here is an example of what it sounds like and looks like in trial yesterday. I barely hear the “wrap”.

ParticipantThanks Barb. I have a toy driven puppy and beloved the frisbee so when the time is right, I know that will make him over the top happy.

ParticipantWhen will the next week be posted?

ParticipantBarb,
Some things have happened in life that have put a pause on things. Please keep posting the weekly lessons. I am printing them off to follow along at our own pace.
Thanks,

ParticipantYes, those observations helped. I will work on this. The puppy was gone for a conformation show this past weekend and we will get back to working on this.

ParticipantSusan,
Yes, this is what I am trying to understand.
Thank you.

ParticipantI added a diagram to the video that may help demonstrate the area I am confused about.

ParticipantBarb,
No, this does not help. I am sorry that I did not post a video of the first step, which I did and the assumption was that I did not because I did not post video. I am not sure how further to explain my question, confusion about the step I am asking about because my question is still not answered.

ParticipantBarb,
Thank you so much for your update and I do hope you are doing well.
If you could go back and look at what I posted with week one. I had two videos. The first was a question demonstrating what I was not understanding about the reading. I did not see a response although I did view your critique of what I posted after that.
I believe from reading other class forum posts, someone else had the same question as I did.
Thanks again,

ParticipantThanks for the feedback. Was hoping this class would set my green dog up for success from the beginning. Did you see my first video with a question? I did read all of the material from week 1 and was having trouble visualizing what was meant for the entrance from the settings on the clock. I hope my video helps to explain where I am not understanding.

ParticipantThanks so much Tracy. I hope Barb gets to feeling better. Nothing worse than feeling ill and not being able to do what you want to do.
Will the roll out of week 2 still go on as planned?October 8, 2021 at 10:43 pm in reply to: One more topic for all of you. Please introduce yourself and your dog and what y #26317Joyce Jackowski

ParticipantHere is the round the clock exercises. I had practiced the first set the past two days but did not video. Couple of things that I see as I watch: Important to face my chest to pole 1. Rookie was getting tired and I did not notice. I had allotted so many treats then was going to stop, will use less next time or set a timer. We did play right after that and he was happy. I left in the portion where he came back through the weaves and how I redirected for some feedback on how to handle that. Thanks!!!!
Oh, and I have the YouTube set at Unlisted. I wasn’t sure if the video would be viewable here if on private. Please let me know if that is correct.Joyce Jackowski
Participanthere is video with question on exercise. cheated and used my older dog for this. please forgive my collar tug to get in place. he wasn’t happy with that.
