“I think the dogs find this hard because we humans are running and they have to collect while we accelerate, and usually we decelerate when we want collection.” Oh boy, that really makes sense. Thanks! I need to work on these. 🙂

Yes Tunnel,No tunnel. This didn’t go too bad. This is the first couple steps. But when I got to the backside tunnel, she would never take it. I need to start all over with that. She don’t want to take it on a straight tunnel either. So I couldn’t do much of this exercise. 🙁 Oh the seminar went good! She stayed with me pretty nice. If she did run to Jacque, I got her back always. It was her first time there, so she did check around a little bit. But not to bad. Boy she was speedy and had fun!!! lol.

Deceleration. The last game. Reversing it and the sends. Actually the send to the tunnel is going good too. She missed one at the very beginning of the last video. But after that I put a little more into it and she didn’t miss any and the other send is going good too. But….at the end she got tired and slowing down and going wide. So I stopped. She lost her gumption (sp?) lol. So excited. Today we have a mini seminar with Jacque Hoye at On the Run. Called Tweeners. lol. Should be fun.

Deceleration. Here is adding more speed and I added the verbal. She goes a little wide on the first one. I think I am late with the verbal. But it gets better. But maybe I should have added the Go,go,go in here too. The balance. But the last one is really nice. You can see her at .24 collect before….the jump. Forgot to go to 12 inches too. I was going to do that. I did that later. She did good. But dropped one bar on the turn on 4.

Deceleration. The next couple steps. Sends, More speed, Balance. Ooo…she liked this too. She’s still at 8″ so she’s moving. Sometimes I set up big loops around the yard at 15 to 18….ft and have her jump 12″. She does pretty good. But I think you said just to stay at 8 for these technical exercises. So we do that. So the sends went okay. Not on the video, but she missed a few sends and going to the jump. So I had to put more into the send. But…then I guess you send them TOO much to. Pretty good though. Then we added more speed with the tunnel and did some balance. She liked the Go,go, go!!! lol! Oh. I thought I got over to the jump nice and stopped. Is that looking okay?

Deceleration. Kinda fun. She liked these. First one here is the first three steps. No speed works great! Turning nice. I’m trying to not move till she lands, so just my stopped body is telling her to decel. So then we add speed and yea. A little harder. I think her brain can explode with speed. lol. .44 Kinda wide…for a couple reps. But then it gets better. 1.02 She don’t decel at all and takes the other jump. I moved them farther apart, because that is not part of the exercise. Then it went better. Still trying to let my body tell her to decel. I think one or two I moved to soon and brought her around.

And….then we did this. Started out okay. Then it went not so good. What am I doing? I’m not giving the verbal soon enough. I realize that here. My feet are not pointed the right way? We did a bunch of double whammy’s before this. Maybe I need to just do those till like you say in the video, That she “gets it” and gets the verbal?

Redid the Zig Zag. Hmmm…then I got done and I was like. I din’t look for the one hop. So I think there are some two strides in there. Ugg….I was so busy with everything else. lol. By .09 I have it pretty straight and she goes right to the MM. At .15 I tell myself I really have to connect. So then it went better. .44 Ooops! 1.10 good connection. 1.19 Ooops!! She’s looking around a lot. 1.33 was better then on that side. I suppose you need to step toward the first jump a little.

Okay. Worked on those proofing games yesterday for the serp, with the tunnel. Yea, Maybe I need to do those for maintenance now and then. Now I should try it again in the Serp and stuff course. We also did this, The Beginner Zig-zag. I had this all set up outside, did it a few times and it started raining. So I figured I could do this in the basement. Worked pretty good. So yea. Had to adjust the jumps so I got the one hop. She’s hoping pretty good. LOL. Then I made the serp less of an angle around .24 and it looks like……a double bounce. So I moved the jumps a little closer together. And then we are back to a nice bounce at .35. I am trying to keep my arm back, look back and turned at the waste but feet forward.

Oh I can see it now. The difference when I have my shoulder open or not or yea, the one I close it too soon. And you can see the one at :07 I have a very strong connection with her eye’s. Don’t just look at her, connect with the eye’s. Yea. Gotta remember that too. Okay. Thanks! I can do the proofing games. I have them all printed out. I can find them in that folder too. Thanks!!

Serp n stuff. Sequence 3. Wew! Alot of stuff. lol. Trying to keep up. This went okay. First rep was really good. 2nd one, I was running really hard again and she missed the serp at the end. Right to the tunnel. The 3rd one I made sure I brought her in better. That worked. But…..then I get behind. I want to be able to run hard and have her come in. I supposed that just takes training. Like anything. Wew! She’s moving. but like you said, these are low jumps and she will have more hang time later at 16″. Hmm….maybe then I won’t get behind on these even if I have to pause a hair to bring her in. Hmmm……lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hj8GqusHwY4

Did these yesterday. Serp and stuff, Sequence 2. The first one went really good. Backside and wrap went pretty good. It’s pretty easy to go to that side of the tunnel at the end. Then I did some balance. Another backside one. Then…..When I try to go to the other side of the tunnel, (I am running hard) it all breaks down. lol. Yea. that’s hard. I need to run hard but she is not coming in. What do I gotta do? LOL. I think on one I got at the end I halted, just a hair and she came in. But…then I was cutting it close for a collision. I need to run hard and have her come in.

We did the Concept transfer: Serps and stuff. These are the first two. I did have trouble at first she did not take the second jump. But then I made sure I was closer to the jump and then she got everyone after that. The sequence went pretty good too. She goes wide always on 4, but that may be because of the sidewalk. I ran this with Jedi and he did the same thing.

Another short video. Redue on the Lead outs and big lines. The first ones are thewraps. Hmm…second one is better, first one she still goes wide. Maybe there is not much space there to show my motion. Kinda tight. I should work on these again and spread out the jumps. Last one is the throw back. I tired to not get so far ahead, not do much of a lead out. That went pretty good. Hey, I signed Jedi up for your International class Sept 19. I will bring Ruby!!

Here’s a redue on the Lead outs and big lines. Just a short video. I got going sooner on the BC and did it not so far out from #3. Wew. Gotta remember that. 1 and third one look the best. 2nd one I think I am too far out again but she comes around me. The last sequence I try to do better on the wrap up on the top jump. Hmm…..still could be a little tighter, but at least I didn’t pull her off of it. She has no question to take the jump. Okay. Just saw, at .27 I pull her off that top jump. She is quick, smaller, doesn’t have the commitment as Jedi. Sport was Kinda like that. Could move Quick! Did I pull her off? I think I did. I need to watch her commitment better?????
