Did the Wing Wrap foundations: Rocking Horse Game Part 2 Spins and the Race track. Went pretty good. Just used treats so she wasn’t too ramped up. I think I accidentally did some of these when we were just doing the Race track game. Did I do this right? Sometimes after the Spin/BC I go into a post turn and sometimes It ends up like the same side a FC would be on. Hard to explain. I think you will see it. Hmmm….I added this later. Bending Left and Right, Advanced level. Went pretty good. I brought the jumps in. Like in the picture for the smaller dogs so she got a nice bounce. We have been doing some little jump circles. That maybe helped to for her to catch on. Now I see in the paperwork I am supposed to hold her, say the verbal, then release. I don’t think I did that. Well yea, duh….(That’s how I do it with Jedi, She won’t be any different) ..we will be giving the directional verbal ahead of time. I’ll make sure I do that next time. Wow she was spunky. Did the Bending and the Left, right Minny Pinny. Baby level. I think she did pretty good with these because all the wraps and shaping we did. She caught on pretty fast. Move and connect for 2-3 steps before you release so she can see the line. Got it. Mix in some front side jumps. F.C are okay, yea, wraps are different. We push on the line for harder angles, try to get more independence with the verbal on these easier ones. Got it.
I had a question up above. No bog deal but I think you missed it. I am going to do the, Tunnel threadle verbal cue and double whammy. What is your verbal cue? Is it, “Tick,tick,tick”? I don’t have one. It’s different than the regular verbal cue like on a jump, right? Thanks.
Backside slice. Other side. Trying to get a litttle….distance. Maybe I should just stay on level one for awhile. It says to stay there and make sure that is really good. But when she did miss I had my chest turned. On the first one I tried to push on her line. You’re right. That doesn’t work. That’s how I was taught. But I think your way makes more sense. I’ve been doing this with Jedi too. Sometimes I wonder what the hell I’m doing half the time. But if you’re never taught something. How would you learn? Oh. Now on these. The cookie toss works pretty good. She comes back from the toss and the “Back….” and the connection and chest turn she picks that up pretty good. I think she likes these. Back side slices. Little bit of distance. Did these today. Not too bad. I suppose I should not do the FC. Hmm…but if you are heading to the left a FC would be okay. Or is it okay because the other backside will be a wrap. Hmm…been thinking about that. But maybe I should do more of the move to the left at this point so she gets that it is a slice? Back Slice Foundation. Did these yesterday. Pretty good. Tried to keep my arm back and look at pup. Didn’t say the verbal at first but then added it. Used it for my release. Hi. So in this case have the MM more towards the wall? Not so much on a slice LIke I had it. So it’s more natural when she comes around I suppose.
More serps with motion. Missed a few. But had some nice ones. Hmm….same as the threadles. She does okay when she is in the sit, but has trouble when I do the cookie toss. The toss seems to be okay. Treadle with motion, other side. Missed some but then once I got MY…timing better with the MM it worked great. You told me that. Hit the MM when I see the head turn away. Have to remember that. I have the MM around my neck I think I need to put it in my hand. Maybe with a wrist bungie. I’m going to try that. Hi. Yes I use the dog side arm. With Sport I used my outside arm but with Jedi I don’t have time. And yes bring it back on course. Great you noticed that. I wasn’t thinking about bringing it back. That helped. Here are some Treadles with motion. Missed a few at first but then actually when I started with the verbal she did better. She still looks at the MM a lot I see. I took my time played, Pizza….that helps. Hmm….she did better coming in, with the sit stays than the cookie toss. Seemed like she went right for the MM with the cookie toss. Oh well. First time. More strike a pose, threadles, added verbal. Hmm…think I added some serps at the end. This is kind of long. But I made sure I added the “catch” and pizza’s and tugs. Tried to me more interesting/rewarding than the MM. Geez I gotta remember not to rush things with her. She needs all that. Much better! And I did some hard positions.
