Okay. I’ll probably sign up for that next class. Maybe…in April we can get outside. Depends how wet it is. Can’t wait!

Barking and jumping. Yea that is the first time she has done that. She did kind of jump up at me the one time. Today we did it and when I got to the race track she kind of jumped up at me a lot. I’ll try to get some video. My hand usually. I’m not crazy about THAT. So I should settle her down? Not go quite so fast or how do I do that? I think once we get outside and I can start to set up some jump grids she will get the idea to focus ahead and know her job better.

Rocking horse. More motion toy and Race track. I didn’t know what the race track was. But I think I figured it out. Just go around the outside? Boy she really liked this! Good commitment and I think we are connecting good on the FC. I did better with not letting her do it by herself. Kept my eye on her and did the “Ready…ready…” with the collar. Ha,ha! She was growling while tugging and started barking at the end! She don’t usually do that. Now I know she can do that if she is high enough. LOL. Wow. Fun! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71q-wGIW_H8

Rocking Horse. Adding more motion. Weee!! She liked this! She did pretty good. Hey, how do you like my buckets taped together? Works pretty good. I searched high and low for something to use. Finally came up with that. lol. Pretty good commitment and then we connect pretty good too. She still wants to take it by herself sometimes though too. I tried to not let her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTnf1t6NKPs

Okay. I’m going to do that wk 4 game now. Still don’t know how I skipped that one. I’ve been going in order. LOL. Another question. How am I doing for keeping up here? I have 12 wks to do all these right? Till the end of March? There is a lot to do. But that’s okay. 🙂 Oh. Another question. Can’t remember where I saw it. On FB maybe? You have another class after this? Like a continuation? Or was that for this class? I thought it was a sign up for a class. Maybe I’m wrong. Okay. Thanks!!

Verbals. So you want me to do that lap turn or tandem turn for the wrap away? ( How did I miss that game in wk 4? I’ve been taking them in order. LOL.) You use both of them?
Okay I watched the Threadle tunnel video. Yea it goes with what we just did.

Rocking horse. Two in a row. Here I mixed it up. I think I need more room should have maybe made it farther. Went pretty good though. I mixed it up. Boy I can see where the sky is the limit now. Regular sends with the FC, sideways backwards, start countermotion. All sorts of things you can do off of this. I’ll be doing this a lot more. Really fun!! We’re handling!!! lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WKregQKdds&t=20s

Rocking Horse sideways and backwards sends. She got this pretty good too. It’s hard because you have treats in both hands and then you send them with a hand with the treats too. I end up switching the treat back and forth. I did a couple double ones at the end here too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txto6hycNIE

Rocky horse. Very first baby level. Well she catches on pretty quick. I did a few before this. The first 3 or 4 here I do NOT have my mechanics down. I’m like, “Whats wrong with me???” And then I start sending with the correct foot and arm and Front crossing better. Then most of them are correct. She does good. She gets it better then too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ccyHGoK4xg

Oh good. I’m doing okay with my verbals. Yes. Jedi defiantly has more than Sport. LOL. With her I could usually get ALMOST everywhere and she could twist and turn on a dime. She really covered for me with late verbals or handling. Jedi is too fast to big of a stride to do that. But…he’s really making me work and be a better handler. He can really collect nice if I give him his information soon enough. He is such…a lovely boy. LOL. Where’s the “heart” emoji? 🙂 Ruby will be lucky. I’ll have most of my verbals from the beginning.

Yea. Maybe I should do the “switch” for the wrap away from me. Hmmm….I think I like that. I had a switch with my first dog, but that was just on a rear or any time we changed direction. I think I like that. You could use it if you are on the landing side of jump too I would think. Depends where you are going I guess. How do I train that? Just with the rear on the jump and the verbal Cue?

You’re right. I should have a tight backside and a slice back side. I don’t . I just usually depend on my location. But you’re right. Sometimes his circle wrap is more of a slice. That would be nice. Maybe use back for the slice and think of a new name for the circle wrap. Boy you got me thinking. lol. That’s good! Little Ruby needs good verbals. lol

Yea. I’m sure I know what you mean by a tunnel threadle verbal. Is that going to come in the class later more?

Okay. Thanks! Lots of stuff to think about!

Verbals. I’m not going to list all the obstacles. AF, tunnel, DW stuff like that. Just the Handling ones.
Yea I have “Go! or Go on! Means go, keep going without me, like in a line of jumps. Or I guess Go tunnel if it in the line. What ever is in the line. A lot of times the ending is a Go-on!
“Back, back, back” is my back side. Go to the back, take the jump.
“Check, check, check. Is my threadle cue. With Jedi I need to say this real early so he knows to slow down and he is coming in. All my cues with him need to be very early so he can have enough time to add strides and process things. Oh. “Check….means come in and….then take the jump also.
“Get,get, get’ is like Get out, stay out. Like I use that a lot in Gamblers if I have to stay behind the line and he needs to go get something. Not come to me. Along with a big arm.
“Out jump” Means Get the jump out there, but you are coming back to me. I needed some thing like in a pinwheel, where he can go out and get the jump and I can stay back and like serp the third jump in the pinwheel. I do a lot of AKC too and they do that all the time. They have a big pinwheel type thing and…..they also have an off course jump up by the top of the pinwheel jump. So “Out jump” means no your not keeping going and getting that other off course jump, you are coming right back to me. So I don’t have to try to get in the pocket there and do a FC or something in the pinwheel to keep him off that jump. I can stay back and serp the third jump. It’s been very effective. lol.
I have the Lefts and rights, which pretty much mean just left or just right. On his RDW it means more of a 90 degree angle. I have a “Rop” for a sharp right off the DW. Like into a tunnel or just basically turning sharp off the DW. And the sharp Left is “Twirl”. (These are from Dawn Weaver) They work really good. I know she uses them on jumps too. But I don’t do that. Oh yea, same verbals for the AF. I use the left or rights on jumps too. But not always. Because L. Means Left and R. means right to him. I would never use it on say an ending where you have to do say the last jump is a little to the right and your only option is to rear the second to the last jump. I would just be quiet then. I guess I would never use it on a gradual turn is what I’m saying.
As you’ve seen. I have the Dig,dig, dig, Which means Take the jump and you are coming back to me. Wrapping it. This also needs to be way….early so he can add strides and collect. Sometimes I use the hand before the jump if that’s possible. I don’t have to be RIGHT by the jump to use it. But he knows he is not say doing a serp if there is another jump there. He is coming in. The wrap. Here’s where it gets a little murky. The d,d,d…I am usually on the side he is coming to. Whether I do a post turn or butt pass. I am on that side he is turning to. The trouble is, I don’t really have anything for if he is turning tight/wraping away from me. Like if I have to do a RC on the jump plus get a wrap. I see that is in your paperwork. I think that would be the “Wrap towards me and wrap away from me” verbals. I’ve never really developed anything for the wrap away from me. I have used a left or a right but I’m not crazy about that for a wrap. I don’t want to mess up the Dig,dig, dig. Because that is pretty solid. I guess I just need a verbal for the wrap away. What do you think? I have thought about the rop and twirl. Which is turn tight. But I think I want to just leave that on my DW and AF.
Oh my Tunnel verbals are “Out tunnel and Come…..tunnel” For non obvious tunnel entrances.
I have an “eazy….” Like say just going around in a circle of jumps. Don’t have to be all crazy. Just taking it easy…. In a calming voice.
That’s all I can think of now. My big issue is the “wrap away from me I guess”. Maybe I just need to add a verbal and Dig,dig, dig just stays the same. 🙂
Hmm…that’s all I can think of now. There may be more. lol

Hi. I have a question. For the Wk 6 Verbals: Use your words. Do you want me to like list all my verbals and then we talk about them? What I want, what I can use new, stuff like that? I do have a few gaps in my verbals I think. Thanks.

We had training today, so I wanted to make sure I did this. Tunnel Thredels. Ohh…this wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. Couldn’t get her to look at the tunnel at first. Warmed her up with some of her on the outside. But then I put her on the inside and couldn’t get her to look at the tunnel. Left side I had to stay pretty close. Then I got back a bout a foot finally. Going right went a lot better. Pretty good actually. I got back pretty far with no problem.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HD-JKbFPBU

And one more for the Start line stays. Ooo…this is going good. She is really getting it. I don’t have the treat in my hand for the ‘Stay”. And she is only releasing on the “Break”. One Oops. But she maybe learns from that. I put in a couple “Pizza”…then I seem to be in front of her more, but off to the side so I can walk up. The last one is so….cute. She like lifts her foot, but then she knows she has to stay and puts it back down. I was wondering if I could put this on Facebook? I want to show her breeder. I didn’t do any “catches” in here. And they won’t know how I got to this point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgrTQpQC1nc

#3 redue for Rotated sends. Oh yea. This felt better. I don’t know why I used my arm across my body sometimes the last times. That’s NOT how I do it with Jedi. That’s how we did it a few years a go. I do do it like this. And I did the Dig, dig, dig and no go on. (the first one I am late, but better after that) I think I was just having a hard time getting her going sometimes. But you know what? I think she is getting the D,d,d verbal already. I can tell. She is like “Oh…gotta go get that.” Just a few times she didn’t go. I had to get my mechanics too. NOt have the treat in my hand I am sending her with. lol. She really wanted that toy. She got it out of my pocket! Ha,ha! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enSBiToY2ic

Okay. Here is #3 Parallel path video. I’m stuck on these three. LOL. That’s okay. I just want to do them right. What the heck. It’s fun. lol. Okay. I threw the treat and then did the turn. Not too bad. Took me awhile to get my mechanics. Still tried to say “yes” when she was heading for the jump, toss the treat, connect and reward. Just the one time she went back. I think I am late with her name and connecting. Should probably do that like when she is getting the treat? When I think she is done with it? Seems kinda late now when I watch the video. Hmm…maybe not. It says when she finishes cookie and she looks up. Connect. Maybe I got it right. 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zygZecHlX74
