I did this today. This is just the, Puppy Shaping, something to remember. I wanted to work on my Shaping and see how it went. Ha,ha! She did better than I did. Starts out. Where she puts the two feet in, thats good. Then she gives me some run throughs, so I tried to click when the back feet went through. So now I’m like….Oops. She thinks the game is to run through. But as soon as I stopped clicking that. She figured out that wasn’t the behavior I wanted. So I waited her out and as soon as she was in there with all 4 at 0.44 I clicked and she stayed. THen she really got it. But she did give me a few run through’s but I don’t think I clicked them. I probably should have stopped after the second time. Like I said, kind of a hot mess at the beginning but it worked out. Good thing SHE…figured it out. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPfvM_nNXx0

BC. Yea… I thought the two sides looked more balanced. I’ll keep doing the walk for awhile on her going to the Right. And yea, I need to get more of a head start. Use bowls okay I could do that. Or I thought I could throw the cookie on the side walk going up the middle. Then she could find it better. Yea. Some were way too quick. Yes that’s a Santa! She loves it. Yea. She is so nice. She loves treats AND toys! But. I’m working hard to keep it that way too. LOL!

Cone work. Okay. Go more gradually. Have treats in both hands. Got it. Good idea. Mix in easy reps where you move it back in. Ahh…..got it. That makes sense. Great! I’ll keep doing these mixed in with our other games. Thanks!!

And I did the cone work. I did the stool first. That’s not on the video. Then I stool up. Went pretty good. I have it more that a foot away from my feet. But then I went farther than that and she cut through. Dang I forgot to keep track if left was better than right. Oh well. I can have fun with these and do them anytime. But what should I do to get more distance on the cone without her cutting through. Or, how far does the cone eventually get? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR_1MQGyZJQ

Wew. Took a day off here. Did the BC’s today again. Hmm…though I had more going right. Oh well I’ll still work on this. Ha,ha! Now she is losing the treat in the grass. A couple of them she was really quick but yea. She is getting it better going to the right is I walk. At least I didn’t run out of room here. Wow. Super nice out today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHD5_DoFPBs

Okay. When she is starting on my left, I can move slower, so she can see the blind clearer. Got it. Small dogs lock on to your feet. Okay. Yea. I need to get used to that. Oh no. Bonnie Griep has a really nice place. Indoor arena with artificial turf. Warm and toasty. I go every wed. for my dogs. She is our trainer, since Sport was little and Jedi. She has a nice HUGE…outdoor arena in the summer too. She lets me use her place on the wk ends. We were there today. Mine and Ruby’s brains are fried. LOL. JK. Yea. I thought the second video was better. Wow. Very….interesting that you caught that. About her even liking to turn to the left on the blind better too. Not as good on the right. Wow. neat. Okay. I’ll work some more on these. These are fun too. Or maybe the cone. So much to do!! It’s all fun!!! Thanks!

Here is a Take-2 of the BC. I think she likes this toy better. She was getting a little disinterested with that other one by the end. Hmmm… maybe better. I am SO RIGHT HANDED. I’m bad with my left always. I have really think when I do it with the left hand. But it go better. And I run out of room again. It’s hard to time the cookie throw, puppy finds and eats cookie, and when you should run. lol. Hopefully I can try this outside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25tTy_irtHQ

Okay….so….we did the BC’s today. I thought it would be so…….easy. Ha,ha….I know how to have toy in right, switch head toy goes to other side. I do it all the time with the other dogs just for a warm up or something to do. There are some not so good ones and some good ones in here. Obviously my timing is off. Oh well…this was her first ever time for this. Some were pretty good. I ran out of room too. It’s cold out. But I should probably do this outside. Or hey. I go to Bonnies tomorrow, I could do it there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwrwNSvwVdg

Okay here is the redue for the Wrap foundation. I started with just the bowls for a warm up. Then went to the same pole I had before. But I was quiet!! Yea. She’s really thinking. At .29 you can see her start….to cut in and then, Nope! “I gotta go around.” That was really nice. Then I went to the cone. Boy that worked nice. I ended up almost a foot and half away. And NO cutting in. 🙂 “Good girl”……Ruby-doo!! lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do_zfbjS6iY

Hey yea. I have a small stool. Maybe that would work. “Until I started talking to her!” lol. We need to add in praise where she keeps working and doesn’t look at you. For sure. Makes sense. Yea. I don’t think she needs the “Pumped up” praise. It just distracts her. K…Good girl….got it. I got the video “Really reliable recalls”. So I am working on that and doing a lot of “Ruby’s!!” When she looks at me and stuff like that. Like A LOT. So I should save that for that and not get so crazy when she is working and thinking. Okay. I have to remember that. Just like always. Save the name and the being excited when you really want their attention. Duh……I should have known that. LOL. Video 2. Okay. I will use the cone. Yea….that’s it. Instead of going to her Right she would cut through instead. I’ll keep and eye on that. I’ll get video of the cone. That will be interesting. I did this with a toy and when it got too far out. She cut through every time that same way. Ooo…we are learning so much!! 🙂

Here is our Wing wrap Foundations, Advanced. That’s the best I can kneel. lol. Good thing I can run good! lol. That’s all that really matters anyways. 🙂 I have it pretty close at first. She really gets it. I inch it out. About half way through it is about a foot out.I also bring the bowls in towards me a little bit. I get it too far out and she cheats. Hmmm……One way she cheats and the other way she gets it right. Why is that? One way better than the other? I brought it back in then just a little. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBFNU83z3Sg

Here is our Wing wrap foundation. Step 1. Ugg…I can’t sit cross legged and I can hardly kneel because I had knee replacement in the good leg a few years ago. LOL. Mechanics with my prosthesis don’t work to sit cross legged. But. I do my best. 🙂 Okay so I did the steps. First I do it so she hears the “click” in the bowl. To get the back and forth. Then I more quietly put it in the bowl while she is eating. She’s back and forthing by herself real good, so I let her make the choice to go back to the bowl by herself and then treat. Not sure if you can see where the transitions are. I think you will. OMG fun too! 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD8sNFev2R4

Yes!!. Boy I never had a little dog. There will be some things to get used to. Although I don’t thinks she’s going to be real little. Hmm…like, medium little. Neither of her parents are the real little mini aussies you see. Whatever. She will be perfect! yea. I am so…used to feeding at the knee. Feeding at the knee all those years we’ve done a lot of those “recall to heels”. Now I just need to remember to get BELOW the knee. It really clicked now. When I do my treating, like just with a sit. I am trying to feed lower to her otherwise she jumps up. This is the same thing. Great! I’ll get used to it. Oh yea. And then I could see the weight shift in these video’s too. 🙂 Thanks!

And here is a short clip of the Decel, turns, FC, Redue. I went back and watched the video and then did a few with Jedi. Yea. I don’t know why I was going the other way. This is so easy. Ruby caught on quick too. Much better and then I put it all together with the cookie toss, decel and turn. Fun!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtLtn5__zxs

Okay. So I redid the Decel and turns. This is the Decel. It starts out not real great. But I always believe in keeping the Bad with the good. I don’t like to just edit and show the GOOD stuff. I like my teacher to see the whole process. Make mistakes and then learn from there. Just like in a seminar. 🙂 Like I said. Struggling a little at the beginning here…..she’s not really reading the decel. I think I’m still too late with the decel. At .40 that one gets better and then I think I have it figured out. I really have to give her the decel early enough and make it real distinct so she can read it. Ha,ha!!! Not much different than the Border Collies! lol! I love her!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCRv_7hTk38
