Throw cookie farther, move while….eating cookie when she’s coming STOP. So she can see…. the deceleration. Oh geez yea. Makes sense. Hmmm….yea. I’m turning her away from me. I need to watch the video again. I should be turning her like IN to me for the FC. Thanks! This is great!
Okay and here is our Decel and the TURNS. This is our turns. I even added the FC. I had to get my bearings for that. lol. Kinda like a turn on the flat. Okay great. Yea. I think the isolated clips is easier too. Okay so I did to the Part 2 Driving ahead Focus forward today. (I’ll save the decel and turns for tomorrow). Wee fun!! I had a different toy but she didn’t seem quite as enthused. So I got her Santa. She loves that. It’s our restrained recall toy. I still forgot to look at HER! I even had it highlighted. lol. I’m just going nilly-willy. lol. But this turned out pretty good. Yea. boy….did she look when I stole her toy. lol. Yea. She didn’t like it when I reset her by the collar. Start from where you are when you are tugging. Got it. I can also tug with her back to the start area too. I’ve been working on that. Send with the arm. Got it. I also think I forgot to LOOK at her eye’s. I remember that in the video an I even had it on my notes. LOL. Grrr…..lol. Let her go a little sooner or she looks at my hands or at me. Oh…..yea.that makes sense too. Got it. Okay. I see the Toy races in wk 2. I’ll do that. But I do have video of the Teaching Deceleration and turns. I might post that. I have a question. Am I doing this okay with the video’s? Let me know if you want anything edited together or anything. This our Send to the bag. Hmm….she wasn’t real enthused about the bag. But it did go better as the video went on. I actually did some before and she was more concerned about other things. I guess I haven’t had her in the basement with out the other dogs. Oh well. like I said. It got better and she will get used to it now. Ahh….break off and play tug so she is less likely to look for missed treats. Makes sense. Yea. She likes this too. Once she learns something I think she gets pretty confident and has a yea, Strong Behavior. Good way to put it. Thanks!!
Here is her. Nose to target. We actually do this. But I use the touch plate or lid and then say the “touch it”. and reward at source. So she kinda knows this. Here I was quite. I used a credit card thing. I had another video and I used dark treats and she could never find them. So I switched to cut up swiss cheese and that helped. But it’s hard to just throw one!!! Yea, unsure. Feed really quick on something. new. Got it. Oh. Question. I checked out the send game. So I am ready for that. So I should use the red bag for that? Toss that? Or a toy? Or mix it up? Ha,ha! Oopsie! That’s her sisters name. lol. Yea. I think people assume because of my dogs. And she sure looks like one. LOL. I wanted a dog out of Jedi my boy, but it never worked out now with the breeder and this covid and everything. So I got tired of waiting and figured I could actually get what ever I wanted. Didn’t have to be a BC. I liked this breeder. I’ve been watching her dogs. So….wala! Worked out great! Okay. Here is my redue of game one. The first one with the boot. Oh yea!!! much better! “pretty common behavior in Border Collies.” Hmmm…lol. You think she’s a BC? She’s not! You are not alone though. EVERYONE thinks she is. She’s a Minature American Shepard. lol. A mini Aussie, with a tail and ears that went pricked. Ha,ha,ha! Like I said. You are not the only one. Took her to an AKC trial in Oct. Every single person thought she was a BC. She’s awesome. I really like her. So happy I got her. 🙂
