ParticipantSerpentines, More Challenge. This first one went good. On the last one at .45 I tried to leave as soon as I saw her heading to the tunnel. That helped me get in position better. I like that one. Second Sequence. The first one went good, but then we had trouble with the lateral send. It work better to send her to the orange jump. 1.18 I really stepped in. That worked, but it may put me behind. I need to work on our lateral send at a different time.

ParticipantSerpentine’s. Mini Sequence 1. I gradually made it harder. The first ones were easy for her. Wow. She did great. All along I made the jumps less of an angle. At 1.30 she misses it. The jumps are at a complete serpentine. Jumps are straight. But then she gets it. Really need to stay connected. I also left in some parts where I am trying to stay connected in between, so she doesn’t jump. Give her treats. Walk her to the next rep. But then she did jump later on a few times. I need to catch her before that happens I suppose. This was fun.

ParticipantWe’re back from our vacation. This is Serpentine’s. This is two jumps. Didn’t go too bad. Did the regular way and then where you send them to the jump. Hmm….don’t know if we’ve ever done that. but she caught on quick. When we went the other way at .26 and .30 she missed the second jump. Then I made sure I really called her. She got it then. I supposed just really make connection with her till she gets the hang of it.

ParticipantWingin it. Countermotion. Step 4. This was pretty fun. I messed up at .12. Went too deep on the orange wing I think and then couldn’t get to the white on to indicate wing #4. But then I didn’t go so deep on the orange jump and it worked good. I’m trying really hard to stay connected. You can see me. lol. How is my countermotion? Am I leaving soon enough? I forget to do that sometimes. Since I didn’t go to the Regional, I’m bored. So I’m going to my sisters a few days for a mini vacation. Northern MN. Lots of swimming in the lake. Won’t be back till fri?? Not sure. lol. Have a good wk!

ParticipantWingin it, Countermotion commitment. First 3 steps I guess. Hmm…went pretty good. She is pumped up. She keeps doing the jumping thing. I make her SIT sometimes. Very annoying. She’s got a lot of bounce. lol. But kinda only in between when she is going for the toy. But sometimes she jumps before she starts out. But at least she gets focused and doesn’t jump up at me when we are running. She did that a long time ago when we started doing the Race Track. Remember? I’m trying really hard to do the Arm-leg-eye’s look back and staying connected on the step 3’s.

ParticipantConcept Transfer:Straight lines, 4 ways. last one with the jump before. Yea, we had a lot of trouble with her going to the tunnel. It made me get behind. It really made a difference on the wrap. I couldn’t get there to decel. Like at .21. At first I had the jump before the tunnel. Then I switched to just the wing, and moved it over. That helped a little. I suppose we just need to work more on her tunnel commitment. On the RC and Backside I just ran like hell over there. Cut across. That worked pretty good. She did miss the first backside at 1.10. Oh I thought the Go! Was better. I kept running. 🙂 And I really pushed early on the RC. Like you said.

ParticipantStraight lines 4 ways Add the tunnel. Oh I see on the first one I had another bad throw. I need to watch that. I think I need something heavier than Santa too. First wrap was a little wide. But then she gets it. This went pretty dang good after breaking it down with the two jump. Sorry it’s blurry. I had to put my wide angle lenz on and I didn’t get it on straight. It’s really hot out. We did these in the morning. Tomorrow I will do the jump before the tunnel. That will be fun. I am also working on the accordion like you said and raising the last bar to 12″.

ParticipantWell the wk end is a bust so I might well work on Ruby’s stuff. I was going to the North Central Regional this wk end and Jedi came up 3 legged yesterday. Back left. I was worried. Can’t run him if he’s hurt. Poor guy. Now we have to figure out was it is. I was so….looking forward to it. Boy I’m not having very good luck latley. But this was fun. Concept transfer, Straight lines, Four ways this is the first one. Just the two jumps. She caught on quick. My throw is so bad sometimes on the go on. I make her look up or throw late and she drops the bar. I tried harder and did better after that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-pOeNZWPs

ParticipantLazy game, BC to tunnel and Fluffy BC. Okay, these are the last from the seminar games. Oooh…I really trusted her on the top jump (“Out jump”) and thought these went pretty good. She comes in nice on the BC. Oh and I guess I am trusting her to get the jump before the tunnel too. Then I did the Fluffy FC. I broke it down again. Did that a few times. NOt too bad here. She gets it. But am I too……deep after the BC?? She ends up having to go around me. How can I clean these up better? The Fluffy BC and FC to I guess?
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantLazy game, wraps and Fluffy FC. Did these. Discovered them from the seminar. There is a lot to do again. How does anyone keep up? These, in with the seminars, plus the wkly games. Her jump circles are getting really good. Did the wraps first. Yup, first one I pulled her off. But then it got better. On the other side she went wider. Maybe I am late? But she never took the tunnel. Then I did the fluffy FC. Broke it down like you said, just did the turn on the jump. She went wide at first. The one side has the fence. lol. So she can’t go wide. Hmm…this went pretty good. She is doing good getting that top jump so I think I need to trust her more and get over to the FC sooner. I am barely making it. She is being a good girl and not going behind me on the FC and coming in. These were really fun too.

ParticipantFor sure I can use tastier treats. She love’s PB. Thanks!

ParticipantI did this. Where you move the bottom bar a little bit. She was kind of scared at first. But I took it really slow. Maybe I moved it too much. It moves about an inch. But it gets better. .32 she runs but still stop when it tips and hits. .43 I rev her up and add the “get it”. She liked that. Wraps are going good. Then at 1.11 I ran really hard and lateral. She jump off. That was too much for her. I suppose I should go slower when I am doing it for the first time. Then we get some good reps and she is okay with me running hard. But I suppose it takes time for them to be comfy with the tip and still run hard to the end. She is hesitant at the tip. Ha,ha…she likes this though. I can’t keep her off when I load the treats. I have to make her sit or hold her. lol

ParticipantYes. She’s little so I will teach her the 4on at the end. I was wondering what system this is for teaching the teeter. Are we going to go through the whole thing in this class? Eventually teach the whole teeter? If so I will stick with this system. But I don’t know this system. I usually do the thing with the two tables. But this looks good too.
Oh no. I thought I was suppose to toss the cookie off the end going back. lol. Okay yea, that makes sence. She will ruin her stop. Turn her around and have her come off the side? Farther down? I suppose I can still lift her off sometimes too. Okay. Have the board move just a little bit. Got it. Thanks.
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantToday I did the Advanced Teeter games. Oo…she liked this too. She picked up on it pretty quick. At .32 she jumped off! She say someone walk by! lol. There is a going the long way. So they don’t see everthing that walks by, but they can catch a little bit of people going by. lol. When I got her back then, you can see her still looking. Distractions…always working on that!. At 1.02 on the other side I added distance. I’m running way over. She gets the treat….and then kinda turns towards me, both times. But at least she drove to the treat. Right?? The toss back is going good here too. LOL. It’s taught with one person. I make her sit then go put the treat in the spoon. Then we do the wing. Dang. Just thought of something. I forgot to run past. Oh well, I’ll do it next time. Now I put Sport in the beroom and Jedi is barking. Sorry about that. He don’t always do that.
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantTeeter games Baby level. She liked this too. Started out slow. Feeding her a lot at the end. I have a spoon taped on the end kinda sticking out. Lifted her off for a bout the first 3. .50 I started the sits. And went out by the end. 1.23 I go way to the end like the video. 1.35 I start the sends. Oo…those went good. She likes her treats. lol. Toss off the other end end usually wnet goo too. Today I will do the Advanced level with the wing wraps. And I need to add distance too.
