ParticipantPage 5 Tunnel exits course. Okay. So today when we first went out she missed a few tunnels. Same thing. Then I got really tough with her with connection. Really worked the tunnel and she got every one after that. These are not perfect but you can see me working and connecting with her with the tunnel. Yay! Geez I gotta stay connected. She is really still just a baby. She is 9 months today. Birthday!!! lol. And then the last one is super good!!! Yay! I throw my arms up. LOL! Connect, connect. Oh. In between the wings I have too much arm out too. need it back? She didn’t really jump though. Maybe because she knew where she was going. So much to remember. One other thing. I know know I better wear my running leg with her now. So far I have just my regular one on. I can’t move as good with that one. You can tell. LOL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvtArHIcTAQ

ParticipantMissed tunnels. On the first ones it looks like she is looking for the neighbor. But on the next ones she is just not taking it. But I can see where I am not connecting sometimes either. Or maybe she feels pressure??? On my next video’s from today I got really good connection. And she did a lot better. I’ll have them next. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7ixhJom7E4

ParticipantYea/Just checked. I have the video where she misses the tunnels. I’ll get them. Okay Focus on getting that connection. Makes a big difference for her seeing those lines. Decel a little on that wing. Yea….the one time she went out into la,la land. lol. Decel on the wing. Got it. Yea. it was tough doing that FC. Really haven don’t ones like that. A REAL FC. lol. K. Thanks!! We are going to do that last one today. On pg 5.

ParticipantDid these today. First couple are the easier ones so we can get our verbals going. And then the last two are later in the day. The harder advanced ones. She seemed a little distracted earlier. The neighbor was going in and out of his house and sometimes she kept missing the tunnel. I should have added that in the video. I see you have something for that in the lesson. Maybe I was saying the directional verbal too soon?? Maybe I needed to connect more? going to….the tunnel? Maybe I need to just keep working on tunnels with the MM more too. The last two are the harder ones and the one with the FC. She did pretty good. Although I know I an late with my lefts and rights usually. 🙁 Ha,ha…first time having the other two out when I am training Ruby. Jedi usually has pretty solid stay. But he had to come check it out. lol. Boy are these Fun!!!

ParticipantThink finger tips back to her toes. Got it.
Did the baby level Tunnel exits. First one wasn’t too good, but then we got it. She does great, when I….do it right. lol. Just like the big dogs. Hmm….forgot the Go,go! I’ll do that today. Hard to fit in all the verbals. She’s doing pretty good on her tunnel commitment. Maybe I just need one “Tunnel!” when it is a small distance. Or I suppose I can add distance with the wing too. Ooops…forgot the video. BRB. lol

ParticipantAfter FC keep looking at her with left arm BACK not just in. I think I am mixing up BACK with IN when she is behind me. BACK give me better connection because I am opened up to her. Yesterday later I tried the “Right, right” on #5 she did good. seems she was focused more on 5 and had a job to do. I did a bunch of the Learning the verbal Right and left exersizes with the bumps first to refresh her. I like that game. I will use that a lot to train her L. R. verbals. Oh, some of her jumping up could be that she’s not sure if she should get the toy. Ahh……makes sense. Okay. Yea. I see you posted that other game. Great Thanks!!

ParticipantSmiley face game. Advanced course. Wow! Rubies first numbered course! Yay!!! lol. Some of this went pretty good. I keep getting the little jump between 4 to 5. At .36 I do have my arm out for a split second, but not the others. Am I too far a ahead….? I feel like I have connection. Maybe more connection? Why don’t I get the jump between 3 to 4? I am wrapping 4 and kinda pushing her out to 5. Am I blocking the wing? I tried really not blocking the wing and letting her do 5, then she came in. I should have put that in the video. 7-8 went good when I put the spin in, but then I had trouble when I did the FC and would that be a Kiss, kiss, kiss??..to the tunnel. We still have trouble with serping the tunnel. Boy was this fun!! Oh at .56 it went pretty good with 4 to 5. Hardly a jump. I think she thought about it though. Oh, another thing. Should I be saying right when I go around 5 to the tunnel? That would give her something to think about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXOzz2mMGg0

ParticipantGive the cue earlier, right out of the tunnel. Got it. And if she don’t get a cue she may think it is toy time. Ahhh….never thought of that. I actually hate running with a toy in my hand. Never did like it. Usually in my pocket. I’ll have to have pants on with big pockets for Ruby’s big Santa. lol. Okay. I can do the “get it” for the toy cue.

ParticipantWk 1. The smiley face games! Wee! fun!. She caught on to this real fast. All that foundation work. Went right to the second level of the Baby work. Okay at .16 she had a bark coming accross but I don’t think my connection was good and my hand was to high? I really like what you said in the video about “Your hand has a magnet……and the different ways your hand should be according to where the dog is.” I wrote all that down. I think I will need to use that a lot. I think I am raising my hand too much before she is past me. At .20 a little jump. Too much hand again. At 1.27 I am trying real hard to have good connection for the race horse around the two wings. You can see it. I think I need to do that. I kinda get the feeling now too. She knew exactly where to go and what to do. Not jump or bark either. Hey! Even did the spin. lol. Wow fun. I love the race track. Oh notice I have her off the line and she is staying with me pretty good. Not distractions of course. But it’s something. Ha,ha! look at Sport in the sliding door. She still thinks she runs this place. lol!!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQiKieN7kxY

ParticipantOkay we did the proofing on the left. Which was her harder side and the tunnel twice. This went better. Yea she looked at me funny when she got to do the tunnel twice. She kinda had the little jump at .42. Toward my hand. I need to keep it down and connect more right? And a little jump when I let her do the wing. And I’m trying harder not to wrestle her with the toy. Giving her treats. Medium value. That’s working. And the best toy ever. Her Santa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TRvFf_8fjU
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantAhhh….tunnel again, then wing. Got it. Yea. Keep her guessing. Yea. She will freak. Thanks!!
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantOkay here is the Advanced Wrap proofing. She’s still pretty pumped up. This didn’t go too bad. I did the left side Baby level and it went okay. Now she wanted the tunnel more that than the wrap. I may redue that. I didn’t like the way the video turned out. But this is the advanced. Took the tunnel nice and then a couple times I didn’t help her hardly at all on the wrap. Yea. It’s really windy today. Had to nail everything down. Even my tripod. Ugg…..Crazy wind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL5OJjHXTOo
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantHa,ha! Yea you should have seen her eye’s like….”I can see you throw that toy over there!!!! I want that!” lol! But yea. It’s like she knew the wrap would get her the toys then. Your right she could have just taken off still and went for the toy. Yea. She really liked this. The grass was flying! You would have thought it was Jedi! After the wrap, over connect. Got it. Makes a big difference with her. Ha,ha! Fast forward Ruby!!!!
Joni Steinbach
ParticipantFeel the wind in your hair advanced level. Toy on the ground. Okay so I let her drive ahead of me. Boy was she pupped up. I didn’t have the cheese. I just had her regular store bought treats. Hmm…that seemed to keep her more wanting the toy. I think there will be a fine line between having really good treats to keep her off of the distractions in the environment and too good of treats that she don’t want the tug. We’ll just have to play around with that I suppose. Yea, she was pumped. I didn’t go real close to the wing but there was a lot of distance here. A couple times she went behind me. I think I lost connection on those. So then I made sure I had connection towards the end and made sure she didn’t go behind me. Wow. She really wanted that toy. I don’t think I could have does this if I didn’t grab her collar. She would have went right for the toy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzp-mcUOYwY

ParticipantHere is the Next baby level proofing. Take out body language. First couple ones maybe I have a little body language but at .17 I start to get some really nice ones without. .31 is really nice. And then……I switch sides and it all breaks down. In this video she didn’t want the toy much because she wanted the good cheese. She didn’t like going to this side and is really distracted. Not sure what happened. I did a lot of playing in between??? What should I do next time for this? Maybe start with THIS side??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YLWs0VV00k
