Oh dang. I still need to do Feel the wind with the toy on the ground. Stay closer to the barrels/wing. As she finishes give her the go. Like the long lines we will have. Got it. So she gets the feeling of driving ahead of us.
Raining yesterday, so I went to Bonnies. This is Wrap Proofing game. Baby level went pretty good. A lot of body language here. Especially on the wrap. I had the toy there kind of. But this was her first time. .39 she takes the tunnel instead of the wrap. At .53 she was going to take the tunnel but then did what she was supposed to and did the wrap. Yea. Lots of smells and junk outside. She likes to eat the rabbit poop. Yea. I noticed on a few she was a little “hoppy”. I think she kind of broke a start too about in the middle too. And she was thinking about the distractions. Yea.
Okay. Here is the Feel the wind in your hair. Ooo….she liked this too. Yea, she really went. Edited it again. Lots of play and I do kind of have to go get her a few times. That will be a thing too. Teaching her to bring the toy back. But she usually goes and looks for her rabbit poop to eat. But…….I did get her back quite a bit on a recall and my super good treats. So. yea this went good! She’s really going for that toy like crazy. On the about the first couple I didn’t connect too good but after that I remembered and really connected. And dumb,dumb..I say YEA….instead of Go! The last two (I also added more distance) I finally say Go! Get it! I think she does a good job finding the jump. I think you said, it puts value on finding the jump. Oh yea. Yea. It’s hard outside. She looks around a lot. I have a busy sidewalk after the next house over so I have to be careful when people go by. And….she wants to eat Rabbit poop! lol. I need pretty good treats. Oh I didn’t even notice she kicked up her speed. Thought it was me. lol. As I added speed she wasn’t sure If I wanted her to go in or past it. Got it. Okay. I’ll work on the sends and lead out to the tunnel. Got it. It really helped just using the MM for awhile too. Oh yea. And then I can move the wing out a little more too. Got it. If I can get to the wings on each side, that would be a blast.
Okay. Ha,ha. I was just wondering how the two classes ran into one another. Yea. That was a lot of stuff. But I have it all on paper and will go back and use it all a lot. Okay. Onward!!! Thanks Tracy!
Wk 12 Wing wrap foundations Rocking horse with tunnel. Oh boy. I figured on thing out. We need to go back to basics on tunnels. What a mess. yesterday she kept going around the tunnel so now I usually just set her in front of it. Got my MM out and my paperwork from the very first tunnel secession we had. I need to really work on tunnels again. LOL. I thought this would be so…..easy. NOT! Got a few good ones here. Did the turn and burn and sent her back to the tunnel. It goes good it I can get her in the tunnel. LOL. I have a question. There really is no break in between these classes. This one ends on the 23 and the next one starts then. OMG Yea. I keep forgetting to use my verbals. And she is really good with her verbals too. Set her back farther so I can get in my verbals. Got it. Yes! The snow has melted and I have the Tunnel race track game set up. I’ll get video tomorrow. Ha,ha! That is the last one I have to do. Thanks! Oh. I signed up for the Agility Foundations. We are on a roll! Gotta keep going! lol. And it will be so much fun doing most of it out side too. 🙂
Yea. Less swoosh I don’t think she needs so much swoosh. Move the toy when I present it as a reward. Yea I see what you’re saying now about she was fine and then she thought it was boring when I dropped. yea. Good catch! lol. Move the toy when presenting it as a reward. Toss a treat or ball when I am moving away. Got it. And more collar games. Got it. Oh yea. I have to do the Advanced level here too. I keep forgetting.
Race track. Oh that’s a good idea. Get her to commit more by tossing treats past the barrels. Oh that makes sense. yea I think that would help. That would help her focus more forward too. Maybe get a balance of connection but commit more to. Got it. But I’m confused about the water bottle. I WANT my arm back? To her nose?
One more. Simple Deceleration. Here I just use the toy. Got her ramped up pretty good with it. I thought that worked pretty good. She popped into some nice sits. This went pretty good. Countermotion Serp. Less swoosh. Ha,ha…I tried to do less swoosh. It’s hard. I had to like try to grab my leg. Some are pretty good. A couple I did the swoosh too much. Hmmm….I’m having a hard time getting a treat that is really good, to where she sits vs a treat that is too good, to where she won’t go for the toy. If I can get her going really good on the toy. So I redid these again. We still get that little jump (real slight) sometimes. I don’t think I am giving her much arm, But she is still jumping up. Near the end they are better. Yea. I see now she was kind of watching me drop the cheese. And then when I released her, she was right on it. lol. Good girl!! Okay. Add the verbal. Less Swoosh. But look behind me. And yea. I gotta get her back on the toy with delicious treats. Thanks!!
Keep my arm back and more eye contact till she passes my leg. Pointing forward breaks connection. Okay that kinda was a light bulb moment. Then arm can come forward as she is passing me. Got it. We love these. I’ll do it again. lol. Oh. One thing I noticed is she seems to get most ramped up on the post turns where yea, I am ahead of her. But this should help. Thanks!
This is wk 12. Countermotion on Serpentine exits. I switched to string cheese. She really liked that and went into a sit better. This is just the baby level. So I helped her a little more. I’ll try the advanced level today. But she kinda gets this. Yea. then she wanted the treats and not the toy. At 3.41 it kind of fell apart because I was going to use the cheese for the reward and I dropped some and she saw that…..LOL. But actually the chunk of cheese worked pretty good for the reward too. Yea. We had a blizzard. All the snow was gone. Now we have almost a foot. It won’t last long though.
Add more distance. Got it. And put it on a wing. Leave sooner. Yea. She didn’t want to sit there. I’m going to have to keep track, but it’s almost like she pops into a sit better after the toy play. Outside I’m using higher value treats. Maybe I need to do that downstairs too. She gets distracted easy, so it’s been a challenge outside and I put her back on the line. Hmm….good Idea. Do some tricks in front of distractions. Got it.Okay. Here is the Rocking horse with spins. Since I did this awhile ago, but I put in the BC instead of the spins. LOL. The spin went pretty good. Start line routines. Lateral sends. Wew! Almost got them all done. Only a few games left. This is Start lines with lateral sends. I spend more time now tugging and Catch and pizza. But the lateral send worked pretty good. She like knows what to do when she sees the barrels. I suppose I need to get more lateral. And I did step towards it a little.
