    Downhills……

And Elevators πŸ™‚ He likes this game….and I can’t believe how much the teeter base is bouncing when the end hits the ground πŸ™ Doesn’t seem to bother him…..kinds scared the crap out of me when I noticed it while editing the video from this session.

Downhills with a little more tip….

And I still can’t figure out the countdown for the Elevator…. πŸ™

    Have a great weekend!

Some Sends from the other side with 12 poles. Seems like we never quite get to playing weave games while at the Training Center – having too much fun playing all the Teeter Games πŸ™‚ I finally brought a set of channels home so we can now play weaves whenever we want. Anyway….before we headed home yesterday we did a few reps from the left as part of our end of the day tug games. I loved the rep where I had the lousy throw and he stayed in the poles instead of coming out to get the toy – my good boy!

I did have my duct tape target about 9″ from the end of the seesaw (this seems to be the best spot for him to have enough room for his front feet and still stay in a weight shifted back position) but swapped it back to a more visible target for today’s games. I probably ought to stick with the more visible one for a little bit as we continue to work on him not looking at Mama the Food Machine until after he gets in his end position, huh?

Downhills to the ground…….. no decel by me πŸ™‚

    Rebounds

    And a few Elevators, where I tried to have a consistent 3, 2, 1, Feet Countdown….

Thanks as always for the great feedback!

So…..downhills setup like in the Week 3 game now? Get rid of the table, use the Teach It….more “downhill” but less hit/tip at the end, right? Use his target and me move past. Have him get on the board where ever is comfortable, have him walk up and turn around and then go down? Think I’ve got it! And oh yeah…both sides!!!!

I was SO focused on my mechanics for the Elevator game that I completely forgot about having a consistent countdown so he “knew” the drop was coming. Got it.

And Sly and I are DEFINITELY in for the Learn Your Dog Camp!!!

Jumping on the end for food is now his favorite game πŸ™‚

Downhills to the ground – with him on my left πŸ™‚

And then some Bang Game with more height…. He thinks this is WAY fun!

And then we did just a few Elevators to work on my mechanics……

Downhills with the small Teach It posts. One of the things I noticed with this is that he’s “better” off my right than off my left. Need to put my “good trainer” hat on and do more of these games off my left, can you tell I’m right handed?

    And then a little Rebounding……

And some playing with getting him to focus more ahead and less on Mama. We’ve been doing this on the tippy board in the living room for meals the last couple of days. He’s really solid on being able to stop on the little board with the food bowl ahead and release to the bowl but as we were playing with this yesterday on the “big” teeter at the training center with treat on the floor was too many changes for him to resist just running straight to the treat……but we’re figuring it out πŸ™‚

On to some Elevator Games πŸ™‚

Bang Game with a little more tip and fading the target….duct tape worked great as the smaller target for fading.

and then some more Downhills…played around with a bunch of different rewards…ball on target, throw ball, tug toy. The last rep is my favorite πŸ™‚ I think this is the setup I’m going to start with for Downhill all the way to the ground πŸ™‚

Actually had a few minutes this morning and played with a preplaced toy….no concerns leaving the Mama for this πŸ™‚

Hi Tracy…Yes, we are still here! Been a kind of crazy few days and have grabbed a few quick sessions that I didn’t video. We’ve been “pre-baiting” the MM with liverwurst (his fav treat) and just letting him run to it which I do think is helping rebuild the value. I think the other thing that happened here was we hit a place in his RDW training where he wasn’t getting a very high rate of reinforcement which I think contributed to his disillusionment with the MM. We’ve backed way off on the RDW stuff for a bit. Anyway….just wanted to let you know we are still here πŸ™‚ If it ever warms up I’m going to bring a set of channels home so we can play in the yard. Have a good weekend!

Oh yeah….he did jump on with the tennis ball still in his mouth. The boy LOVES his balls πŸ™‚ Hmm…..not sure about how that sounds πŸ™‚ And sorry about the video link mixed up. That’s what I get for doing things in a hurry before I go to bed.

Yes, all your comments make total sense. We’ve been doing a lot of backup to a wobble board, end position on his wobble board and backup to the inflatable for meals this week. I can fit all that stuff in the living room. Here’s our first time of Bang Game on the actual seesaw since doing some of that work. I think he’s still not totally confident in the 2O2O position as he still sometimes stops in a 4O and then steps into the 2O2O. He’s definitely happy with this game πŸ™‚

And yesterday’s Downhills……we try to get a few in everyday. Yesterday was the most recent that I videoed. He really prefers anything where he gets to start from a run or finish with a run…especially if its a chase the ball run πŸ™‚

Finally made the time to edit a bunch of videos from the last few days…..

First one….some downhills…which we haven’t done for awhile…just one short session today. The last one is the best πŸ™‚ The boy does love his tennis ball!

And then some Uphills…..highlights from a bunch short sessions since Friday. I’ve spent a good part of 3 of the last 4 days at the Training Center and was able to just leave the seesaw setup with the Teach It so several of these were one or two and then done….and then we’d do another few a couple hours later and a couple of longer sessions somewhere in there as well.

and this last video is our latest attempt to find a setup that I think will work for the Mountain Climbers 3 Game

I’m thinking that I’m going to take a break from the Uphills and Downhills for a bit and focus on helping him learn/get comfortable shifting his weight back. It looks to me like he’s really working hard to maintain his balance as the drop on the Mountain Climbers gets to be more and more. I don’t think he’s looking so much for the tip like he was when we first started but he really is trying to figure out the balance. I tried a bunch of different ideas for something to use for the end position in the Mountain Climbers 3 game and I think this last one might work. It’ll probably be Friday or Saturday before I get a chance to try it out with a board…keep your fingers crossed. One the things this has shown me is that he really doesn’t know how to rock his weight back at all so we’ve been playing with some fold back downs and thus the fold back downs on the Bosu. Anyway…guess we’ll see where this all goes the next few days. Thoughts? Oh yeah….one other thing I did with the Uphills and Downhills is a “chase the ball” between each rep….I cut these and the rewarding at the end of the seesaw out of the video….otherwise this would’ve been one REALLY long video!!! The boy is going to need to go on a diet after this class is over πŸ™‚

And we’ll play some end position games again πŸ™‚ So many games, so little time πŸ™‚
