    Hello!
So, my silly dog insists on hurting himself frequently. He jammed his elbow a month ago and immediately after that was better, twisted his wrist. We’re pretty behind on our training but he seems better now.
Here is some training we did on package 2 hot topics and jumping.

Thanks Tracy! He definitely wasn’t going full speed 1-2. I wouldn’t say this is necessarily typical for him but in this case he kept looking at the #6 jump as he came around.
Here is some more work we did on this course. I didn’t have a chance to review to brake arm stuff yet and wanted to get this practice in before the course came down so no brake arm attempts here but it is something I want to work on.

    Hello!
Thanks so much for the last feedback!

This is our running of agility 1 from package 1.

Thanks so much! Haha, more drama, love it! I will have to work on that.
Agility 1, #8, yes, he was quite wide but I didn’t give his cue to turn in time. He needed the cue while he was still on the dogwalk, but this has been difficult for him to process the next cue and still focus on his contact. We have been working on it.

Here is some package 3 work.

    Jumping 1:

    Jumping 2:

Today we are at a trial. Our first run had a backside that I thought would pretty easily land on his line that I expected would be out further from me so I gave his backside cue but not super strong. Apparently he says he runs closer now and tucked himself into the front side. I was like, ok then, did not expect that. Lol.

Thanks so much for the feedback!
That is all very helpful. We do tend to struggle with turns.

Here is our work on Raise Your Game sequences package 2:

    Thank-you!
We worked on the backside sequences. Lennan really does not love tight turns and seems to have more of a challenge turning left so this was a bit challenging.

Under the dogwalk sequences. Lennan loves distance! This was fun.

I also thought I would share this under the dogwalk challenge we worked on a few weeks ago because I was super impressed.

    Hello,
I do see how much the dogwalk is bouncing. That dogwalk doesn’t have braces currently. I will have to figure that out. In the meantime, I’ve just been having him go straight and not trying to turn.
Here is our next training on package 4, course #1.

    Package 4, course #2.

    Hello!
Here is our attempt at package 4, course 1.
Apparently we have some dogwalk turning issues when he is running full out and there is an obstacle directly in front. He didn’t seem to understand to not do that jump.

    Hi,
Thanks so much for all the notes. The lalala cue is his left turn jump cue. I thought it seemed like in the opening he needed to turn (curve), not just run straight which is why I was giving him that cue.

His dig dig cue is his wrap to the left. We were having a hard time in that spot and then when he turned the other way, I wondered if that was better for him. Your notes on how to work on that spot make sense and we will definitely try that. However, it won’t be for a little while as we are currently in New Brunswick at the UKI Canadian Open (just arrived this evening).

In the first video, I did give a turn cue on the jump after the weaves but didn’t get as much turn as we needed. I was impressed that he didn’t run into that tunnel though.
Makes sense to do the backside/tunnel discrimination in video 2 as a pop out training session with a wing wrap. He was having a very hard time with that.

Here is our work on jumpers course 2 from package 2.

I did have so much fun running these! Lennan definitely loves the chase. I was super happy with his turns!
I knew I was running a lot more in training with Lennan this week as my fitbit auto-recognized all my training sessions as aerobic workouts. Lol!
In the last video, 10-11-12 line, the reps where the wraps were good I did want a wrap. The reps after that I was going for a slice. I thought the slice would be better for him, but it was harder for me! We will try it again.

This all makes so much sense! Thank-you!
Lennan says it makes sense too. He loves chasing me and loves chasing the toy!

This is our most recent training this week.
Working parts of standard course 1 from package 3.

    A few turns.

    Weaves and teeter.

    Package 2, jumper course 1.
