ParticipantThis Set point game ran well. I remember to keep safe bars 6 feet apart and sit him 6 inches before the bar, release a toy 5 feet after 2 bar. I love it!

ParticipantHi Tracy, once again, I did the home work earlier then read your latest comments.
But the ones I read earlier were in my brain! Still forgot about MAGICAL Hand. It was much better lesson- THANK YOU!
Other dogs was not present.
Charlie and I only.
Simple steps, do not panic, reward more , do not repeat when mistake happens. Do 1 more obstacle and reward! That’s the plan
It feels great! Love our session!
Many times I would be frustrated with trying to hard and getting nowhere!
Thank you for helping me understand my own puppy. That what he does when he is confused – he sits and trying to understand whats happening. I have seen this many times- something new and little scary – Charlie sits and wait. I knew that behavior and that the same thing he was showing yesterday. I was pushing too fast too hard and disconnected!
Thank you again!PlayAgility
ParticipantHi Tracy!
In a very short time you figure out the BIGGEST issue I have as a Handler. Ever wondering why the best of us dog after dog keep being very successful?
Because of who they are. And others dog after dog having exactly the same handling/training issues. My biggest issue is I am running the course and not a dog. I do not see the dog I am running. More experienced, obstacle focused dog may survive with me as a handler. The puppy? He was lost and went sniffing. Thank you for clearing this out. I HAVE TO LEARN how to run a dog not a course! And I will!!!
Cannot wait till tomorrow. Thank you for being here for me.PlayAgility
ParticipantOnce again, I read the comments later. Will follow the instructions!
This could count as Start line stays Game! He is good with that!

ParticipantHi Tracy, we played today early morning before I read your comments. I will follow your suggestion start from next video!
We start with Tunell exits
Charlie wants a toy and was not moving or doing wraps . Other dogs were on distance with us.
I put Charlie in crate, worked Archie and Charlie worked much better:

ParticipantHi Tracy, thank you for your valuable review!
“I will answer the questions
That is interesting and a definite puzzle to work out. Was Archie nearby when Charlie didn’t want to play?” Archie was on distance on field
” Or was Charlie alone?” No. I will try tomorrow morning to keep other dogs inside and see how Charlie works.“Also, was this the first session or had he already ‘worked’? ” Since I am struggling with this drill – I am starting with this game. I usualu do moving game 1st and then stationary next.
“It didn’t look too hot (in terms of the weather) on the first video, but maybe heat was an issue?” Weather was PERFECT!
For now alternating them work the best for moving games. We will change that to be better!“We want to teach him to engage and play without needing Archie there, with an eye on trials in the future when Archie can’t be in the ring LOL! But we have plenty of time to figure it out. ” Of course. We bond with Charlie nicely. I am taking him only and leaving to stay with my mom. We are swimming, playing and bonding on regular basics. Archie is big competition for me, I understand that.

ParticipantTurn after tunnel.
Well, I was so concentrated on calling Wrap ( right shoulder), Tide ( Left Shoulder) that I forgot to call the Exit of a tunnel! I tried with tugging toy, then with ball – got no drive from Charlie. I put Charlie in crate, trained Archie and get the dog I need! This is hard t
game to work with puppies. It was much easier with older trained dog

ParticipantHi Tracy, can you tell me if I should move those two jumps a little closer?
Please disregard my older dog. Charlie does not want to work at all.
Sometimes competitive nature of him make him able to work, when another dog is around and trained in what we want to do, So Charlie is learning from him much faster and with willingness. All I want to see if the jumps set up properly for Charlies body and my older dog help me to accomplish just that.
