There has always been a flyball team in SLC. It recently was stopped. Lots of reasons I guess. I had already decided to leave the team a week earlier. Too much drama for me. I think someone will start one up again but I won’t join again. I want to focus on agility mainly.

Me too. I try to go to SLC to meet up with friends but the winter can be a bear. I envy the flyball communities that exist on your side of the world.

Just wanted to let youknow that I had a major breakthrough this morning. I put Mitre on her boundary and started to work my Kelpie with some simple tricks. Normally Mitre would try to be the center of attention and want to work but she stayed and did not release until I gave her the release word. I have been playing the pattern games every day. Along with some dial up interspersed. I was over the moon.there is hope ☺️

Ok sounds like a plan. If I am outside I move further back but inside I usually leave as no where to go. Unless it is a big arena. When walking I do use other dogs as a distraction especially those in the dog park. Amazingly she will call off and come to me. She is on leash but I feel we have made progress. I decided not to do flyball anymore due to lots of reasons, but that was great for practicing this when I could. I was usually too busy helping to do it much. I do not live near folks as I am an hour from SLC and No classes. But Mitre loves every person and dog she sees. She is very social. I do go into SLC in the winter to train. So can use the games there. I have started doing them at home. We train every morning before work.
    Thanks for your help.
As far as agility goes she is starting to have better jump commitment and I worked on the first opening sequence. I thought she did well. The snow will be here soon so we do what we can. I still have contacts and weaves to teach so agility is a ways away. The teeter is nearly done. She is doing great now. We are working on a dog walk plank etc.

Depends how close she is to them. But she will take treats. Not so much tug. As I said I usually remove her when she gets like that as I do not want to rehearse it. I move further away etc. i work on the here game too. I am hoping she will grow out of it somewhat. But know I have to work on it now. I signed up for the class in January too. I also try to play little motion games with my Kelpie and reward heavily when Mitre is trying to be good. I think it will come. We are a year away from trials as yet. That is if I can get through this. I had a young BC that did this as well and he did 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Sorry I did not reply sooner. I did not have it set to email.

It does not keep it stationary. I will send a photo next week. Is there a specific way of teaching the teter with this device? Hopefully there is. Hope it does not turn into a lawn ornament.

Hi Tracy, I have the tip assist device. The height won’t keep my teter in place. Does that mean my teter is set wrongly? Will these questions also be addressed in the teter class?

I just watched game 5 video. Is that a scratch board you have for Electra? I like the size of it. I use one for Mitre but this looks better. Can you give me the link if it is?

I was thinking of signing up for the teter course but self study and no feedback. I think I am going to need some help.
