ParticipantI might’ve asked this before, but I’m gonna get serious about my tunnel exit. Should I use the same direction as I use on a jump or should I have different directional for a tunnel?
And on a positive note, I almost have the weaves closed and Max is very fast and his footwork is looking greatkrummester
ParticipantDecel, sorry video is so long. I thought Max did well! I KNOW I need to keep my arms from flapping, I just can’t seem to do it.

ParticipantWe did a Speedstakes today! We did some layering and sending. We need work on turning but I was very proud. New place, different surface than we have ever run on. He handled everything well. Thank you for giving us such a great foundation.

ParticipantThis layering went much better

ParticipantLayering not going well. Help.

ParticipantForced front cross
I thought this went okay. Max is a little distracted lately, so trying to keep it short. We had trouble on jump 3. I am trying to keep my arms quiet, I think Max expects a little arm for a backside, even when I felt I was going deep into the jump.

ParticipantThe first little bit of forced front cross. We just practiced a couple of them and our stays will do the rest hopefully tomorrow.

ParticipantLaid out some big lines 3. As the film went on, I got better control of my arms and Max definitely responded.

ParticipantLead outs and big lines 2 lots of disconnecting here not sure what was going on

ParticipantWhen you see Max turn left after the jump before the tunnel that is because I was trying to use a dead toy for after five. He used to do better with the dead toys but lately he’s just been full of himself and thinking he can go get his dead toy when he wants. I will work more on self control in the house. I’m hoping he is just being a teenage boy. I like being able to train with a dead toy.

ParticipantI feel as though I let Max down. I am struggling with my timing. And then this morning I open my email and see that you are doing a timing seminar and it is already full. 🙁 I know Max has the talent to do really well, but I am use to slow terriers, I can’t seem to adjust my handling.
Max and I do in person classes, but I need someone to get after my handling and my teacher is too nice.
I have had Max massaged and adjusted (at an osteopath). I am having issues with him. He has gotten bitey. He doesn’t like being picked up (and never has) but was always okay getting stuff done(except at the vet, where I muzzle him). I worry about his temperament, but he is great with strangers, my grandkids etc. He just doesn’t like being handled. The lady is very gentle with him, but he flipped out last time and she couldn’t even pet him. Anyways, just feeling disheartened today. I was trying to get my terriers AGCH, but we can’t make time in Premier, now problems with Max being bitey. I need a plan in place to move forward, and just now sure what it is.krummester
ParticipantI’m starting to feel that Max is slowing down and not driving as much as he used to. He is 16.5 months old. Is it too much handler focus, or is it because I am slow? Tunnel Threadles and tandem turns, not a great start, but a good finish.

ParticipantTandem turns and lap turns we hadn’t done these in a while you needed a little refresher and then he was good as gold. I think on my tandem turns I get turned towards him too much sometimes because I’m using my offside arm, and I think my little armies are short

ParticipantZig zag wasn’t too sure about the spacing, hope okay.
