ParticipantNo matter what I do, he gets it. I have problems getting to where I need to be. He accelerates really fast.

ParticipantOur second time Layering and first time with tunnel open. Max is better than my senior dog!! Really happy with this boy.

ParticipantIt was not worried before I moved the Teeter. I will do fewer reps with bigger rewards and move backwards. He is worried in class also in class they do not have their teeter lowered like mine, it’s full height and they have tables underneath it, so I assume it does translate to my lower teeter. It’s 80° and sunny and it is hot for little Max. We struggle with the rear cross I need to practice that more. Here is our first cross out of the tunnel.

ParticipantMax is terrified of the teeters. Everything was going great, then I moved my lowered teeter and now he is scared. Max is in a Contacts class at Level Up. I am requesting a teeter class please. Carol said you helped her tons.
Thanks,

ParticipantDid the Diamond again. I need to find someone to yell at me and my flinging arms.

ParticipantHere is the diamond we did not do the very last exercise because Diane was tired. I will do it today and upload. I feel like Max did well. If there were jumps, I think Max would’ve looked for them more than how he looks for wings. Max doesn’t understand to stay out on a wing unless I pressure him or tell him. He’s very happy to work.

ParticipantI am trying to fix the grass in my Agility ring, so we are out in the yard where it is lumpy and bumpy and slightly up and downhill. It makes it harder for me to run. I thought Max did well on the ladder grid this was after a long day in Richmond. On the last rep, he hit the first bar, but I had him set back too far.

ParticipantQuestion about training. Do you have a preference for 2×2 vs channels? And at what age do you start A Frame training? When does Max jump full height? I have started teeter and dog walk training.
krummester
ParticipantZigzag wings about 6 feet apart and this is our third try. The second try was so bad I couldn’t even look at it. I still feel like my handling needs work, but he is so fast and I have to react in such a small space. It’s difficult I can get this easily with my terriers because they’re so slow, but Max is a challenge

ParticipantStrike a pose proofing for SERPs and Threadles.
I thought this went really well and the two mistakes Max had it was definitely my handling on the first one. It wasn’t clear exactly what I wanted and on the second one I should’ve had my arm out farther. I believe I’m surprised how well this little puppy things. On a separate note, Max is one year old this month. Should I go ahead and start weave training or should I wait?

ParticipantI will do this again tomorrow, a short time into this lesson my camera fell over and I didn’t notice it. I think Max is reading this pretty well. Rear crossing is a new skill for me, my terriers don’t like to be rear crossed. They tend to be slow and I do mostly blinds with them. My timing can use some work and probably my connection but I thought I’d put up what we got before the camera fell over. Max and I will do this again tomorrow.

ParticipantThis was Max‘s second time doing this, he does this well I think my timing is the issue. I need to be quicker, but I’m used to running slow terriers so it is a learning curve for me.

ParticipantFind the jump
I think he did well. He only missed once. I like how he drives ahead of me.
On a separate note, Max hates the car. He hides when he sees me gathering things to go, even when we are out and it is time to get back in the car, he tries to pull away. I feel bad about this. We do spend a lot of time in the car, it is 2 hours to Levelup. Any suggestions? Thanks

ParticipantMinny Pinny, Max struggled with me behind him. He wants to watch me (all good things come from Mommy). Max also doesn’t like to be between my legs or be held by his hips or shoulders. He is a freebird!

ParticipantSend and SERPs this is the second time we did this. I’m struggling with leaving a toy on the ground plus Max jumps up and tries to grab the toy out of my hand. I’m always telling him no no no and I don’t want to do that. I’ll take any tips you have
