ParticipantRewatching that, I see the change in behavior with the “uh-oh” too. I will stop using this. The class she’s in is having us do that! So moving forward, we won’t be using that. Thank you!

ParticipantI totally see what I did wrong. I have the right size boxes now and will use them instead of the laundry basket. I think the sides are too high for her to easily move through which is causing her to move slowly instead of move through the box.
We will continue to work on this after your feedback to make sure I am understanding it right!

ParticipantWe are working on this in her Companion class in a different way (no dish, standing while holding a treat above my head, slowly lowering it until it is tossed after she stays in a sit until released).
I think she will definitely get it.

ParticipantRSO – Low Value Tug
RSO- High Value TugWe started with a low value tug because I wasn’t sure she’d wait for her favorite one. She was a little frustrated I think, but overall, I think she’s getting it.
Something I need help with is learning how to end a tug session.krvolcom9
ParticipantRecall vs. Tika 1
Recall vs. Ravie
Recall vs. Tika – Full RunHere are some recent recalls from practice. She definitely benefits from having taped feet now.
I am struggling with keeping her with me until I take her to reload for a recall. Yesterday at practice, I was tugging with her after her round ended and she heard the dog she was running against do her demand bark (which cues another recall I think to Thistle) and she took off without a thought to the box and sat in front of the holder to go again. While cute, it’s not safe and my club mates kind of encourage it rather than see the potential problems with it in the future. But I didn’t want to end her tug session early to clip her leash which could have prevented this. Ideas?

ParticipantThis is the second intentional round in the yard. We practice this a lot outside of the house, but we haven’t since she was very young in the backyard.

ParticipantI apologize for the angle. This was our second session of nose touch. I feel like I could bring more energy to this and she may be more successful outside. In my head, I was being a lot more exciting but after watching it back, I think I need to work on that more.
