Hi!
Yes I’m on an iPhone!Still struggling a little with the backsides. I worked Lad first and I think that broke Zest’s brain a little. I tried to parallel his line and really push him to the back and he could (only) get it when I did that, but in reality I know I will likely not always (mostly never) be there to do that so I’d like it to be a little more independent so I don’t have to be there to shape his line.

Laura RoseWe did some experimenting today lol. Tried food + toy and got no barking. He got better about looking for the food when I used the right word. Added some motion and tried moving the toy to the takeoff side.

Yes the barking seems to only be for food. He seems to get frustrated working for food vs the toy. Not sure why?
Another issue we have is when there’s a toy on the ground he seems to always have at least half his brain on the toy and is just guessing until I release him to it. I’m not really sure how to get him to think in those situations.We did the serps and fronts today.

Here’s our next attempt from before it started raining today. He does really struggle with thinking when there’s a toy on the ground. He did eventually start taking the jump but it is hard for him so I did a few with the toy in my hand!

We had to switch games because we are back in Virginia and I don’t have a tunnel lol. So we did the sends and Serps! I don’t know why I was getting the barking? Except maybe he didn’t know the “around” word very well. My left and right are wrap/tight turn words so I didn’t want to use them in this context.

We tried both games again today – adding motion to smiley face seemed to go well! And wing wraps were an improvement over yesterday. He still struggled a little to the left but that is definitely his weaker direction. He is also able to fail without melting down which is a huge improvement!Thank you!

We did smiley face and wing proofing today. The smiley face went well but wing proofing in front of the tunnel was a bit of a struggle.

Laura RoseWe tried them all today! I had one truly terrible throw – poor Zesty lol but he tried hard and got the rear! I don’t think he has great understanding of the backside though – and now I realize I was supposed to keep going instead of fronting again. Sorry about that!
