ParticipantWell it’s been a minute! Geez the holidays sure let time get away from me.
We have been working on various things, but not so good about posting. I tried out the Strike a Pose exercise. Riv has a pretty good hand touch, so I used both the target and just my hand as cues. I feel like I got better nose touches to my palm than to the target, so do I need the target? If so, I have more work to do to build value for it. Just let me know.

ParticipantHi Tracy!
I think I am a little confused on best way to use the thread. Should I just keep adding to the bottom of the thread, or should I reply to specific responses you provide so that specific feedback stays with specific games?
Anyway…I am putting this one at the bottom.
Here is a session of the wing wrap foundations from this weekend. I used a clicker along with the dishes. I am thinking I keep moving the wing further away? Or do I change my position by standing up?

ParticipantWe tried to get a bit more speed with our toy races today. I first did a few where I tossed a treat back for him to find, but with that he seemed to be pretty slow as he was finding his treat and chewing it. I felt I had to use a bigger treat so it was more visible in the grass, but it resulted in more chewing as he moved towards the toy = slow. If I use a smaller treat I fear he’ll just be snuffling in the grass forever trying to find it. Maybe not the best game to play on grass? So I switched to a bit of lightly shoving him backwards as I ran forward toward the toy. He gave me some decent speed, I think.

ParticipantHere are a couple clips of wing wrap foundations. I have historically shaped this type of behavior while sitting in a chair next to a wing.
First I played a little two toy back and forth as right now Riv leans more towards favoring food over toys, but he was in a good mood for this game today.
Then I tried it with the bowls. He quickly picked up on the treat dropping noise, but when I tried to be quieter with the food, he instead went to my hands where the food was, so I went back to dropping the food more loudly.
I also did a session in the evening where I put a wing between the dishes. (No video) Is it okay to go to a wing? He went behind me a couple times, but seemed to pick it up pretty well. If not okay to use a wing, I’ll have to find a wingless.

ParticipantWe had already been working on driving forward that tied right into this game. So here is some video showing advanced week 1 work.
Random side note – the video color looks totally washed out if I open it on my Macbook but looks fine if I view on my phone. ??? Very frustrating. Does it look normal to you?
