    Hi Tracy,

I’ve had her up to 12″ on single jump work, and 16″ will be her competition height. Thank you for the detailed explanation on the timing of my cues and using more lateral distance so I can be earlier. I’ll set this one up again for more experimentation.

In the meantime, we worked on the last two games – Send And Go & BC to the Tunnel and Rear Crosses.

Send And Go and BC to the Tunnel (bars at 10″):

    Good afternoon!

Yes, bars have been at 8″!

Here’s our work on Fluffy Blind Crosses and Front Crosses. The Front Crosses are done with the bars at 10″. Front crosses starting with her on my left hand then switching to my right hand felt a bit awkward (I’m right-handed…):

    Thank you!!

    Hello Tracy!

Thank you for your thoughts on our previous work 🙂

Finally got Lazy Game with the Toy video all done!

We also worked on the Lazy Game Parts 2 and 3:

and Concept Transfer – Wraps before the afternoon thunderstorms are due to roll in:

Oh! I still have the plank and mountain climber work to get done, so will try to get that in over the next few days. I’ll be doing running contacts with her..

Hope you are having a pleasant Sunday 🙂

    Hi Tracy!

Thank you for your feedback – much appreciated!

“The next step on this is to add more speed: Spread out the wings so you are running more”

Ha, this will make it a whole ‘nother ballgame 🙂 . Moved the two outer wings about 21′ from the tunnel entry/exits and the middle wing about 14’ between each of the outer wings.:

I know at 1:22 I cued the middle wing too early and should have supported her longer with my dog side hand because she started to come in at first. The next rep I tried to support her better in that spot…. (My older dog has conditioned me to cue really early, so still trying to find that sweet spot (and knowing that can change when MiG gets more experienced)).

I did re-do the lazy game with a toy for more arousal earlier this afternoon, plus the lazy game part 2 and 3. Still editing video takes so I’ll post those a bit later this evening or tomorrow.

I hope you have a nice weekend!

    Hi Tracy!

We worked on the Striking a Pose Proofing for Serps and Threadles game from Week 4:

Thank you so much for all your advice and insights! My plan is to continue to work through the games during the break so we’ll be good and ready when Max Pup 3 starts. Can’t wait!

    Hi Tracy!

For the set point I had the two jumps about 4.5′ apart. I’ll widen that by 6″ the next time (and increase bar height per above). And yes, she will jump 16″ :).

Over the past couple of days we worked on Zig Zag Part 2 (thank you for the link!), Find the Jump and WIYH Rear Crosses and Backside Wraps. In Find the Jump, I started her with 90 degree turns around the wing so I could practice saying my soft turn verbals twice (or once!) before letting her go per your advice from Minny Pinny :).

    Thank you so much!

Hello again, I hope you had a nice weekend!

We did some more work on the set point with the second jump set to 10″ and then 12″:

We also tried the Zig Zags. The Away-then-Towards (where she starts on the same side I’m on) reps felt awkward…

Hi Tracy! Thank you so much for your feedback! We’ve been working on a couple of games from Week 3 – Left/Right Verbals with Minny Pinny and Sends ‘n’ Serps:

Minny Pinny baby level and turn-aways:

    Minny Pinny neutral position:

    Sends ‘n’ Serps:

Re-doing the set point exercise with the added challenges you mentioned is still on my to-do list, as well as going back and picking up the Pill Bug games from Week 2. 🙂

Hi Tracy! Your feedback is spot on, I appreciate it so much! I’ve been having a hard time sending her to an obstacle from a stationary position (but no problem with lead outs or wrapping a cone beforehand) because she gets fixated on my hands. I’m going to focus on cleaning that up, doing as you advise with the clear verbal and step to the wing.

We worked on some Tunnel Exit Turns and Set Point with Moving Target from Week 2. In the set point exercise the second jump is at 8″ with about 4.5′ spacing between the two jumps.

Oh and sorry about the insects buzzing around the camera – it’s black fly season in NH. 😂🙄

    Thank you!

Hi Tracy! Thank you so much for the feedback on the Set Point exercise from Week 1. I’ll progress her to the moving target set point exercise per Week 2 (and increase the distance 4.5 to 5 feet with 8-inch bar). I’ve included links below for the remaining exercises for Week 1 (Wind in Your Hair, Smiley Face and Wrap Proofing), finally! (April was a crazy month, plus the last week of non-stop rain).

    Smiley Face:
