I need help with the idea that sit means sit until I release you. I have been doing a lot of tossing cookie back. She does better with the mat. Since she has 7 months before she can play in the ring I have lots of time to shrink the mat. (I am cutting down the size a bit at a time.) Unfortunately all my obedience is from the 80’s. Corrections and jerking the collar. I really don’t know how to do it differently. Do you have any videos about stay?

I don’t know why I am confused, but 3 jumps wings? Single wings or pairs of wings? I broke her tunnel when my sequence was too long on smiley face. We have worked to get tunnel back, but it’s still not cheerful. So I am glad it’s not needed this week. WE did have one outstanding success this week. She now come to collar and puts her head in it by choice!!!! Nuggets are magic for some dogs, Costco rotissary chicken is her magic.

WE really did this, but operator error, turned off video, then played and recorded 35 minutes of my pocket. I was shocked at how well she did it. I will try again.

Sorry I was AWOL during class. MY laptop locked me out and I was trying to make my ipad do it. I kept not hearing everything or seeing people work. I worked on my turn even though I couldn’t hear if you were seeing me and responding. I finally just gave up a 5:30 and went inside. I disconnected every time I reconnected. It was very windy, but that should not affect wifi.

The next day I researched why I kept getting locked out. I discovered over 100 attempts to log into my windows account all with wrong passwords. The hackers attempts were putting me in lockout. I spent the next day and a half changing windows and apple ID and all my important accounts.

She did great on the rocking horse. With just the two turns, but only if I gave her some indication to go. We aren’t really getting committment to the wrap. I will make some video tomorrow and attempt to get caught up.

We went to Argus, not quite as resilient as at Sarah’s. But more distractions and smells also was on dirt where they do barn hunt. i was going to video here, but didn’t get set up. I got some help with stay. When we practiced using catch, she got real good at catching the treat, not so good at staying even a few seconds. I got help to make smaller chucks instead of lumps. Hoping to video that at home tonight.

Video or perch work, second attempt. We first tried a clay saucer that my others had used. I was too small. Then I switched to bucket lid…too big.. going to get it just right soon. Felt like the 3 bears.

She had absolutely no hesitation. She is not normal.

Last Tuesday I took Sky to the agility hall where I have lessons. Had half hour to work her. She did her tunnels, uprights close to me and “get out”, we did lap turns and blind crosses. It is her second time in this building. She thought she was home. I hope she keeps this attitude all the way through to trials. No video, I forgot.

I set up to do the resilence activity. I got about 3 seconds, then only white until the last 8 seconds when it was actually done.

I put up my Xmas tree while she was taking her nap. I even moved her crate.
She came out of the crate and looked at it, ran under it, around once, checked out the white plastic “needles” on the floor from setting it up, then walked away. Absolutely no stress. Maybe disappointment the pieces weren’t food.

Bummed no video. It was classic Sky. Not much bothers her.

    Another dumb question.

The last 4 dogs I trained have had “go” as the release word. I know nearly everyone uses go to mean go on straight. I am thinking I should make a new release word for Sky. And save “go” to mean “go on”. What are your thoughts on this? I think “break” is better than “free” because it is a sharper sound.

Thank you. Just what I thought. She likes to follow Sunni through tunnel. Would that help her get the verbal connected to the object. I actually did some with lure, but didn’t post it. I threw the ball through the tunnel so she was looking inside. I will keep working. Going to try it at Sarah’s with a short tunnel. This is a 10 foot, bunched up. Have 5 tunnels, but this is the shortest. I felt like the tunnel didn’t have enough value for her to seek it out from side.

Will do. Right now I am pretty careful where we go. Sarah’s and Argus..not much else. She plays fetch with the vet.
