It was good seeing you this week. Thanks for the great workshop.

Teagan and I finally got back to work. We tried the Jumping Accordion game. The distraction at ump1 was a broken bird egg. Kept working him to work through it.

Today’s game was Lateral Send. He seemed to get it. Next step is to lead out further.

Hi, we are back after a short hiatus…life gets in the way sometimes. Today we worked on Tunnel Threadles and Verbals. He seems to be catching on.

We did some work on the Ladder exercise today, which included start line work. He is doing better, but I think he’s better after I do the catch it (throw back treat). I don’t want his start line stay only tied to getting a treat first. Any suggestions?

We also worked on Zig Zag. He did much better when he started on the right of the first wing. I am not sure why he had more trouble when he started on the left side. I did some back-chaining from the middle wing and he did a little better. Your thoughts?

It was 80 degrees today, so we waited until it cooled a bit. We worked on GET OUT and then LAP and TANDEM TURNS. I have a question about Get Out, I typically teach this with the jump perpendicular to the line, to work distance. Am I to assume we will start moving the jump angle, or is your Get Out cue different from mine?

Today we were back to trying BCs, this time, outside. I still have to really think about this one, when doing it on such a short sequence. I think most of my tries were BCs, with maybe one exception.

We also took a try at the Decel game. I think we did okay with this one.

Teagan has had a few days off, but I have a general question. Will you be offering the MaxPup3 class live soon?

Today it was RC with RIGHT and GO. He seemed to do well with this. I think I am getting better at throwing the toy sooner. I also let him play with the toy and played tug with him between runs.

Ok, so we decided to try the RC game today using the LEFT and GO verbals. He definitely did better on the GO when I threw the toy early, note to self. He decided to play the keep away game on his own, hence I have 2 videos. ON the LEFT, again, I need to throw the toy sooner, but he did go left.

Hi, we were able to get in a session before the eclipse. We tried the Layering game. I think he did okay. Question, since he was sort of wrapping around the first stantion I was using my left wrap verbal (flip). Is this correct?

I will try working the other side next time.

Hopefully, the third time is a charm with the BC exercise. I think this time I actually did BCs, with maybe one exception.

Today, we tried the Ladder Grid. He did break on movement a few times. I did work on this inside yesterday, just proofing that his held his start line until I said Break. We obviously need to continue to work on this.

DAH! I knew something wasn’t right with my BCs, but I couldn’t figure what was wrong. I am having a hard time without flow, the short sequences and just using wings in some exercises seems to throw me off. But, that being said, we tried the BC game again today, but inside, as it was raining. I think we’ve got it. Though It took a few rounds.

Here’s the first few attempts, where I was still having trouble. I have a question here. When he is on my left (coming from the can) and I want him to go around the wing from right to left (a flip), what should I be doing with my arms? You will see that I am struggling in this video.

    Happy Easter!!!

It was a beautiful day, so we took advantage of it and tried 3 games, especially since we are expecting lots of rain this week. We worked on Diamond BC, Wind in Your Hair RC and Proofing Serps. I spread the sessions out over the day to give him a break.

We seemed to do okay with the blind crosses. Hope to be able to try the more advanced courses.
    Diamond BC

I had some trouble with the RC when he goes right, not quite sure what I am doing wrong.
    WIMH RC

He did great with the serps. Will try the threadles next.

Today’s games were Tunnel Exits. We did 3 short sessions. It gave me time to “remember” the course and time for Teagan to play with his tug toy. The Left, Right and Tunnel verbals are gong well. We still need work on the GO. On the GO, depending on what side he goes to, I am not always getting out the correct verbal for a left wrap (FLIP) versus a right wrap (WRAP). Am I doing something wrong on the GO, or missing something I should be doing?

We worked on Zig Zag Jumping in the morning. My first attempt I tried using a tug toy as the reward, but his baby boy brain exploded, so I switched to the almighty CHEESE. I am attaching both videos, so you can see what happened.

In the afternoon we worked on Find the Jump. I did a few practices with him just going over the jump and then the tunnel to jump, to warm him up, but do not have it on video. I did have to call his name as he cam out of the tunnel to get him over the jump, that seemed to help find the jump.
