Worked on Send to Prop. Started with just targeting the prop, which he did much better this time around. We then moved on to the send. I needed a few reps to get the mechanics right. As I expected, being a lab, he picked up the prop a few times, he sent a few times, but then was fixated on my hand (aka cookie dispenser). We will try again.

Teagan seemed to do well with Drive to Handler, so we tried with the 180. Again, I played tug before we started the exercise.

Next up is Drive to Handler. I played tug with him before we started the exercise.

Time for the Blind cross exercise. I need to improve my timing, but I was pleased with how well he did on the exercise.

Today, the Goat Trick 1 was on the agenda. He seems to be doing better with shaping, but I still need to throw cookies to get him on his feet.

Worked on the Wrap exercise again. Made sure I had everything closer. Changed the timer to 2 mins and used a longer tug toy.

Second attempt at 2 bowls, worked from the Klimb and added a stantion at the end.

Another try at the Prop in Hand exercise. Trying my best to keep him on his feet and moving.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, a typical food driven Lab. I will reduce the timer to 2 minutes and sit on the Klimb next time. That should work better.

Next up was to try the Wrap exercise with the 2 bowls. I had to go on one hip because of my knees, so I had to have the treats in one hand. I found it interesting that it seemed he went to the bowl on my left more quickly then the one on m right, though maybe it was because of the way I was seated.

We took a break and played tug and moved on to Pre-game 2, where I am using a piece of cardboard. I again kept the treats in my hand. I have arthritis in my thumbs, and during this session the hand with the treats was in pain, so I dropped a few treats by accident, sorry, bad trainer.

So we worked on the Pre-game 1 foot targeting today. This time I used a small tote bag (instead of the frisbee). I also kept the treats in my hand as you suggested. We played tug before starting the exercise. As an FYI, Teagan’s default position is a down. As I have big dogs, I like a strong down.

So we tried the Pre-game 2 Target exercise today. I used a piece of cardboard. He already knows the nose touch, so I have to be careful to not ask for that behavior.

Thank you for the feedback. I will continue to work on this.

Thanks for the feedback. I used the frisbee as he had not seen it before and I wanted something he could not easily pick up and carry off. He’s very food motivated. When he knows there is food available, that is what he is most interested in. I am struggling with getting his focus off the food.
