We did one jump shoot with the open container at the end and then a few reps of forward focus and opposition reflex. Then the course and the drills that were videotaped. So no, not really any more. Why do you ask?

    Kim,
Yes it all makes sense. We went to the building where we take classes and we did one embedded course and I had a friend video it. Unfortunately, she stopped the video before we got to the crate at the treat station. We then did the first drill two times cuz she didn’t seem to have the speed the first time with treats but had speed the second time with her ball. Then we stopped for the day. Is it possible that she needs different rewards in one session? Or did I do too much in one day? She did seem to get jealous when I was playing with a friend’s puppy and then running her older dog. Was that good or bad?

    Hi Kim,
As always some great ideas! I tried the reward at the crate and videoed the third and last rep of it. Anything I can improve on? Did we do it correctly?

    Kim,
Thanks for the feedback. Love it! We did the jump shoot today with the lid off and she did all 4 jumps so fast, I couldn’t keep up with her. She is also taking jumps and tunnels on her own with the lazy bastard game! I videotaped the forward focus and opposition reflex games today. Am I doing them correctly? The forward focus game is challenging for Piper. We have a trial coming up Dec30 and 31. Any advice?

    Kim,
Here is some of the drills for week 2. I usually just start a run in a trial with taking off harness and just running with her as she is soooo slow off the start in a trial. I guess I need to find ways to get her excited to be in the ring. I seems like as soon as the gate closes, her excitement withers.

Here are 2reps of the agility drill. I need to find a bigger area to do the second drill. Really liking the jump shoot drill.

Here is today’s jump shoot. Not sure if I did the tease part right as she didn’t seem to like that.

Will be doing the agility drills tomorrow

Yes definitely makes sense. One thing I seem to struggle with is how many repetitions to do of each drill. For example, last night doing the speed circle drill, the first time she did it nice and with speed. Should I have stopped after one repetition? What do you recommend?

Yep. Makes sense. I have some jumps and weave poles at home. I took a weekly class but schedules have changed so I have no class now. I do private lessons when available. Going to do stuff with friends weekly in a building. And by myself weekly in a building.

    Kimberly,
Yes she is definitely faster in training compared to trials! She is also much slower in her second run compared to her first which is usually jumpers. I know I get so nervous before trials which I am sure effects Piper. I don’t know if my handling changes except for not being as relaxed.
