ParticipantThanks, we will pull out the tunnel when we get back, thanks (and see you next weekend). Taking a travel plank, mat and cones so should be able to do a few things.
When will you be closing this class out? I fear it will be soon and my schedule is getting crazy.
Also, sign up for next class? I would like to be able to submit videos so I know I need to get in quickly.
And prep class for the upcoming competitions. Just going to have fun, but don’t want to look like a complete idiot 🤷♀️ Thanks.

ParticipantSo, we worked teeter last night, I did the smear as you suggested and kept going. When I turned to go back and get him the little stink jumped off. I did the same thing a second time but didn’t try to lift him off and he ran back down. What should I do (love/hate relationship with smart dogs, lol)

ParticipantI thought he did good for the first time. He got tired of the toy so I brought the lotus ball out and he was soooooo happy.
I think this will look even better if I look at the landing, like I’m supposed to. Do I work this more supporting that landing side or start to advance a bit . . . what should I do next?

ParticipantFirst session . . , I forgot to look at the landing spot 🤦♀️
Other side . . . Not sure why I spun like I did, ugh

ParticipantSorry about the dogs, they wanted to play again. Felt Uber, holy $#,+ proud of that front cross! When I remember to bring my arm across my body the blind go really well (go figure). Want to get going on the Serps and threadles before camp and get them pretty solid then looking forward to really starting to put things together. I think the more we practice on the sequencing the more information I will be able to give him. Serps and threadles come first though.

ParticipantGot some practice in yesterday, felt really good about this rear cross.

ParticipantThe last of the morning. He found the manners minder so we were done with toys, but got some good play/work in, I think. Practiced some lead out pushes, had to back chain. I, trying to remember to reward everything, I failed a couple of times. He really likes the lotus ball, lol.

ParticipantLittle led out and blind cross. Should have crossed my body 🤦♀️ Felt good about his commitment.

ParticipantOkay, this is a little long, you can speed through. My goal was just a super fun work morning with lots and lots of toy play, fun, fun, game associated with working. He was super into the toy so I wanted to stay super positive. Needless to say there was more play than work, hence he was a little high, finally, and we just really played.
What should I do differently? Going down again Thursday, maybe more work?

ParticipantThank you! I was so pleased with his excitement. I think when we really start practicing on the “courses” he is going to like it. I think he likes running. He did really good this session (until he found Marie’s cheese bag, lol, then we were done with the toy and moved to the lotus ball). I’ll fold up the toy and practice across the body . . . I’ve been walking around doing that, lol.

ParticipantWe went to the barn during a torrential downpour (you’ll hear it, ugh) to just play and work a little with other dogs and try to encourage toy play. Let me have it, I really want to have the toy in my hand, I changed hands 🤦♀️ Is that why he came around me? I was trying to stay very connected 🤷♀️

ParticipantQuick question. For Brisk, on the tunnel wings practice should I put out the manners minder or throw the toy and race him? Thanks!

ParticipantWell, my guys are always underfoot so figuring out where it is happening and trying to eliminate it will be challenging. I stepped on Piper this morning and she told me off. To be honest, it’s rare that I completely step on them as I usually go into my gymnastics move when I realize they are underfoot so as to not put all my weight on them. I will try and be cognizant . . . this is the first time in all of our training that it has happened, it’s usually in the house when they are sticking out from under my side of the bed in the middle of the night or when I’m coming around a corner and we collide . . . they’re sticky little buggers.

ParticipantThank you!!! Between his commitment here and then going to Vicki’s with 3 jumps and a tunnel working speed circles, circle wraps and crosses at speed I am FINALLY feeling like I’m not a complete failure with this little guy. I really do want to do right by him and trying super hard.
Yes, I stepped on his toe . . . Which I do frequently with all of the dogs. The difference is Piper and Chewie completely flip me off and then yell a lot. Hopefully this little guy will learn to do that too. I’ll try to keep the toy further out. This is the main toy we play with it the house after breakfast to practice tugging. There are two toys he really likes, but this is definitely his preference. I think it’s soft on his tiny mouth.
Thanks again!

ParticipantThank you. The other target I used was same as this, just half of it under the base. Should I fold this is half? Thanks.
