Thank you. I’m going to go out after a club meeting tonight and practice without the puppy and use my words. I think that will help both of us (as well as more coffee before I head out in the mornings, lol, I was significantly lacking 🙋‍♀️)

🤦‍♀️ Good catch. I will move it out again and let it drop a bit more. Thanks!

So, question about the target game. I have a 4 on for the teeter (touch) and a 2 on (feet) for the dog walk (which I haven’t started training yet). How do I use this game for both, or can I? I was going to put my foot target at the end of the dog walk using the “feet” command and then back chain. Thoughts?

Today we took practice on the road and went to the park with lots of distractions. He kept his puppy brain pretty good, I was always watching for other dogs (I only had to save him once, whew, some people are clueless as to having their dogs off leash).

This is really the first time we have done this. We need to revisit backward sends, and I need to take the game paperwork with me so I can review what we are supposed to be doing. Much more practice is needed.

Sorry, kind of long, I kept adjusting the teeter, but after reviewing, maybe it was okay? He doesn’t see, to mind rear crosses. Too focused on cheese 🤣🤣🤣

Too much tip, or was it okay?

So, thinking about my wording about running with him. Meant for crosses, not the go lines . . . I won’t be able to there 🤣🤣🤣

And, BTW, it’s Saturday, why are you working? I GREATLY appreciate I though!

Thank you! I’ve been trying to time things without running to all obstacles with him. Is it okay right now to run with him to every obstacle knowing that working go go go lines will increase obstacle commitment and eventually I won’t need to go with him? Is it best right now for me to run with him knowing independence will come later? Hope this makes sense.

So, I’d like to see a bit more obstacle commitment, what do you think? I know I’m not supposed to drop treats on the ground anymore but I was thinking about playing the lazy game some more? What should I be doing? Is it my connection with him that’s bad?

Drove to Ogden to practice this morning. We did the longer setup and had fun. I’ve been out of my asthma meds so I really struggled today, bless his heart, just had no air. I need to work on getting verbals out sooner and I’m trying for stronger connection.

I was really sucking air at this point and we got some good rain. Going to try and go back down next week so we can do some wing practice . . , and I may take them to a park as well and hope I don’t get caught 🤞🤞🤞

So, don’t mark the backup to four on? I will add my “get it” for the food.

Yes is my marker command without a clicker. oK is my release word.
