Thank you so much for the great feedback. I am determined to get there 😆

And, I really am worse than a Klutz (hence cluts 🤣🤣- I think the only person I know less coordinated than me is my poor left-brain husband – you should see me in a Zumba class, haha, hence my place was always on the back row).

On a brag note. Our morning tug play this morning was super energetic so I threw the tug toy across the family room and into the dining room, the little guy took off grabbed said tug toy AND proceeded to bring it back to me 👏👏👏👏👏 Did you hear me screaming. Morning play is paying off 😆

Awesome, thank you. I have always been taught the click is to mark the behavior, ugh. So when he sits, I don’t click until I say catch?

Are we going to move to a line up behavior for the sit. I use “middle” with Chewie and “get-in” slap my leg with Piper. I am really liking “middle” for tons of thing. It’s a way to help me keep them safe, etc.

Just wondering where we go next. I will work on mechanics. I use sit so much with him he understands the command, I just need duration and distraction. Can I incorporate “wait” yet?

Thanks for all the help, I have always been such a cluts and not super coordinated and then after my big surgery my balance is screwed up too, lol. Has made my mechanics a bit more challenging, but I’m determined.

First attempt at doing it this way (string cheese is sticky). This is something I take on the road so I want to start working duration and then introduce distraction. We were a little rusty and he’s used to me bringing him the cookie.

Sorry, one more question on verbals. Jump threaded (close) jump threaded wrap (maybe I need to see them). Is there a reason to not use “in” for both (coming from a person that obviously doesn’t remember dog side leg, let alone which of 100 verbals to use 😜)?

    Thanks!

Couple of questions. I took the beginning contact you did in Clean Run where you are walking and say sit. He does pretty well, struggles a bit more on the road, but is catching on. Should I shelf that for a while and work only this? He should have a fair understanding of the command.

Also, with Words: I find myself saying “go weave” or “get your weaves” as well as just “weave.” Do I need to try and break those habits on course or will using “Weave” during training translate and override my bad habits?

    Thanks.

I started out on the wrong send foot on the prop practice (so much easier when at speed). I will again focus on MY mechanics and, quit worrying about the little guy – he’s fine, I, apparently, need more work.

We didn’t get as much videoing done as I would have liked, between major snow storm, a 125 mile one way commute, stuck behind snow plows for about 40 of those miles, figuring out what would work treat was for him in a new environment, lol, we pretty much fried his brain early.

    Here’s more prop practice: https://youtu.be/IjqaeON2lhk

And some blind cross, turn, go,go practice (I did find the lotus ball that open easier AFTER we finished, 🤦‍♀️):

Lap and Tandem turn practice. First attempt. Don’t want to go further until I hear from you so I don’t screw him up practicing wrong.

Yes, Rachel, I try not to miss her. I just ordered another set of calavettis a couple of days ago, figured I would need them. Hopefully they aren’t on the slow boat, but apparently I should be🤦‍♀️ (Been working too much with Donna, lol.) I will slow body awareness games down and work on more offering and stabilization on goat work. Found some teeny kibble, if he sees where I throw it he goes straight for it. I should be able to use it when going slower. Thanks!

Leg bumps. Hope it’s okay to do them this way. I have always played chase the tug this way with the Shelties, sometimes legs out, sometimes sitting Indian style. Wanted to do this first thing after breakfast so there was toy value.

Tunnel practice. Think I need to have the bowl out further could do this in the hallway, but kind of defeats the purpose of choosing. I think if the bowl was further out and treat higher value he would have come out as fast as he goes in. Tunnel has value, we’re just scrunched.

Adding on to above, is it better to bite the bullet and build a ladder, or are calavettis okay?
