    Week 1 – Wing Wrap
Highlights from a 4 minute session with progression from loud plops in bowls, to quiet treats, to treats after decision to cone with treats to cone with toys. Right now, he is very balanced with respect to interest in toys and food, and I am typically able to use either, depending on what works best for whatever I am teaching/playing.

Week 1 – Drive to Handler

We’ve done a lot of off leash recall work with whiplash turns and such. He knows that he gets paid well for that, and that he will get released back to play most of the time. Combining the pivot with the treat was new to him in this session.

    Week 1 – Driving Ahead
We’ve done a lot of retrieve play so far with food stuffable toys, and I do sometimes run with him to the toy to get the treats out and amp him up a bit. In the past, I’ve tended to to start this by playing toy dance or tug games, then tossing the object. The collar grab is new to him in this session.

More random object play. I forgot your suggestion about dropping treats inside ring when we were doing this, so will try that in my next round.

A bit more nose to spoon touching, using your suggestions.

    Pre-Games: Nose touch to Spoon
It looks like he has worked with a spoon before, but this really is his first session.

    Pre-Game 1 – Random Object
He’s having a little trouble seeing thrown treats on this patterned rug; hence, the rubber mat to make my random object (fitness ring) more obvious.

I know you advised that we should not have other dogs barking when the pup is training. That isn’t entirely doable right now. Wingman is, however, used to the noise, and I think he is able to ignore it.
