ParticipantI was surprised she was still sitting with no reward given her general issues with holding a position in front of jumps but she did fine. With tugging too.
Wendy
ParticipantThis was an interesting exercise – adding arousal to the plank jump. I tugged with her after every 2nd rep and it certainly made a difference:
Wendy
ParticipantAnyhow, I increased the angle from 90′ to 100′ approx. so it’s a little flatter.
She seems to find sitting and staying on the right side easier. Go figure. I noticed this last time too. I alternated the side of the tug drag in case that has an impact. She is needing a bit of work to engage with the tug because of the food for sit but I’ve downgraded her sit/stay rewards to kibble since it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Wendy
ParticipantI am assuming you mean move the jump wing to a flatter angle? not move the jump wings further apart so there is a gap between them?

Wendy
ParticipantWill likely miss the live – it’s 2am here.
Wendy
ParticipantHere is our latest zigzag session – the jumps are at 90′ approx.
Wendy
ParticipantI think the right side is harder for her – and the arousal shows up a bit more in the sits…
Wendy
ParticipantWe tried wing and plank – her left side seemed easier but the right side was later in the session so she may have been tiring of all the “sit nonsense”. I am not sure if she uses her rear on the zigzag if she starts from a stand?
Wendy
ParticipantThanks. Will increase the angles.
We briefly revisited the follow nose with a wing to clean up mechanics. She seems to do these well? Not sure if I’m clicking at the right time. Raised the bar on the moving toy exercise to 400 (16″). She jumps 500 (20″) normally and added distractions.
Wendy
ParticipantStarted our zig zag work yesterday on the flat. With the bar, she initially struggled with the toy movement (each side). Sits are a perennial work in progress and rewarding mostly edited out plus all the calming scatters, throwbacks etc I get to the stage I’m just grateful if she’s not creeping. This is one reason we do the motion override game every day (and have for years, lol), in the hope the sits will become automatic.
Wendy
ParticipantWe did some moving target and motion override between rain showers. These are games we also play to help with her startline.
Wendy
ParticipantGuess who did lesson 1 of H360? multi-wraps on a PNU. She ate the PNU (crispy noodle, yum) so we’re improvising.
Wendy
ParticipantMaisy did great at the switch setup. Clearly not my handling because Sass and co struggled with the jump behind the tunnel. I had to reduce the course size so the jump heights are low.
Wendy
ParticipantYes Tunnel, No tunnel… we all had a turn. She has had a couple of sessions.
Wendy
ParticipantPG stuff here 🙂
Concept Transfer: decel. All my dogs need this work. I have a lefty!
