Thanks so much for a great foundation :)…so much info, it was a struggle to keep up lol I’ve still got more to work on and going to really focus on contacts and start weaves. I’m hoping for a mild fall when I won’t be working much. I’ve got so much I want to go back over with from this session. I hope you do some more seminars like we did in this session. I do have a seminar the end of October that we’re entered in 2 sessions. I’m going to miss you but not getting the tunnel in and out all the time …..stupid sprinklers. It’s been fun and I’m sure it’s not the last you’ll see of us 🙂

Thanks for the visuals so I know what to look for. So if I raise it and she jumps wrong, I just go back lower again?

I did a little more of last night’s. She didn’t miss jumps but I lined her up straight and lead out forward more. My arm was high on the send from the tunnel with her on my left again but I did push out my leg. I think she’s weaker on my weaker side. Baby dog stuff that needs practice. I tried the lead out blind and she took the jumps 😀

Regarding toy…she doesn’t really chase me /toy. I did try it tonight. I guess the chasing feels like she’s focusing on me instead of driving ahead when I throw it. And she’s not really wanting to 🤷‍♀️ She’s already very focused on me. Thanks!

Regarding Accordion -she was being flaky and not taking last jump so I was trying to get her to take it. I hadn’t don’t them in awhile. I’m definitely going to start contact more and grids when this is done. I lost my teeter, so starting over.

This is 12″ for last jump. Hopefully her head is down. Can you screen shot from the previous one and this one, showing me I’m looking for? thanks!

Decel-this is a good one and what I need. I’m bad about decel with Chaz. Picking the important things these last couple of days.

Well good and bad….Definitely need to work on this and sends. I really need sends. She went around the 1st jump a couple times. When it was the line of 2, I tried a couple and then just put her in front of the jump. This is good for start line leads outs since I need to get there. She did most well…other than she’s forgotten how to stay 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I was going back and rewarding. I might be part time..but still so busy…but I’ll be getting less hours in October. Definitely getting back in the training consistently.

I’m back to work tomorrow but of early so I can submit more before the time is up.

Are you referring to the accordion grid or set point-
The spacing is good and she is reading the grids well, but the height is a little high for her on the last jump – she is jumping inverted, meaning her head is up and she is lifting herself, rather than lowering her head and rounding herself, pushing from the rear. So, start her closer to the first jump so she can power in, with maybe a 12″ bar and the reward further away, to remind her to get her head back down. Then when she gets her head down, you can start to raise the bars again.

    Thanks!

I’m going to set the tunnel out this weekend so just did the intro. She did great esp the lead out push with me facing her. I realized when I watched the 2nd video, I was using more a threadle cue but she did them anyway.

Why I have your eye…I don’t know about 18″ she’s really close…I got a couple of VMO names that measure lol I’m going to get an measurement in Oct at an outdoor trial by local VMO Dave Nauer, who is good at taking the time to get her to relax. I found out that once she’s 2, that measurement doesn’t count..so can try again. Here’s some of her jumping at 20″. I did the 1st set point at 16 then 20. I haven’t worked the grids like I wanted at this point.

Also is the spacing still good at 6 of my feet?

Yes I’ll go back to the set up of running the 3 jumps with distance. I’m glad I did the seminar so at least I did the other games. We’re going to be gone a week over labor day. At least I don’t have too much more to go.

Any advice on getting her to commit to the landing side blind.

Yes don’t want anything bad associated with agility. Thanks!

Well I was trying to redo with your suggestions yesterday but she was really slow. She’s got a ripped nail 🤦‍♀️ I’m going to get her into the vet when I can.

But on the landing side blind, she was going past the jump is why I waited. She did better yesterday but she was off. Same with the wrap, better. The lead out blind is still hard. I put a leash down to try and stay over. But she was missing the 2nd jump. I’ll see what the vet says. Hopefully I can run her thru the wings maybe.

She’s walking /running around tho when I dont have her leashed.

I definitely need to work on the landing side blind so I did that mostly. And the leading out blind. I was over a little at least. Her sends to the tunnel and rears were great. She did the spin wrap good but didn’t like the wrap to me. We started with a little drizzle that looks worse than it was in the videos. I did have a guest watching for distraction in the drizzle video and a deer in the neighbors yard behind the tunnel for 2nd session.

Finally I’m back. Busy, hot weather, lots of rain. Finally cooling off in the evenings at least. The grass was still really wet so I did teeter stuff and tried my new teeter teach it. I have one clip of her using it but I did raise it since she was hesitating. She also didn’t have a good line I know. I’m getting back in agility boot camp.

How long will we have to submit videos?

This is definitely easier with a Toller versus a big Vizsla.

She rocked Zig zag this time 😀 I did put the MM on her line.

I think I did the lap turns correct. She did great and love her speed. I don’t really understand the tandem turn I think. I tried it each way but not sure it’s correct, so I didn’t do it with speed. Enjoy the Colorado sunset 😀

Thanks! I know I didn’t have her flat against the wing. She didn’t want to sit that close. I do the pvc legs so that was a little but definitely didn’t like me move her into position. I usually line up her up between my legs and my side. I’ll have to work separately her sitting close to the wing. She thought I was stupid. I wasn’t sure where to place the target.

I found for free a pvc teeter base. It’s got a metal pin so I’m hoping to attach more PVC to raise it, have Steve drill holes and I’ll have a teeter teach it 🤞🤞 my friend picked it up and is delivering it to the trial this weekend.

    Thanks!

Is this what you meant? I think I need a line, I’m running into her. I do think the 3 jumps are great ideal to work lateral and eventually I could Zig zag them for a push out.

This is a great example of her thinking things thru. Not sure, esp when I changed the target, and then figuring it out and gaining confidence.

I’m sure what you meant….for later about tightening it up. When she’s bouncing confidently, what way do I move the jumps?

It was in the lead out push. I did put her in front of jump 1 and she was fine.

Well she spent about 11 hours sleeping on it….it’s a whack a mole…but I Understand her missing the 2nd jump, versus the one in her face. The struggle is real with blind. I think the throwback was really nice. I’m pretty tired tonight, long day of agility that luckily I didn’t bring her because crating is tight and the air was broken…so hot and tough courses but got QQ with Chaz….3 more for Pach 2
