ParticipantI need to keep the treats out, but we’re working on just playing…… And I just saw the last game this week 😁
Again this is so great. I’m filling my holes that I missed or forgot to keep up.

ParticipantThanks I know realize this is a behavior I need to work on teaching. The video was very helpful. Chaz will run around with bowls/toys, Tali won’t. I’ve got my homework so hopefully, we’ll have great toy play for training, when I start working 😁

ParticipantTo add-I can get her to use her legs, esp the front, really easy. Like when I’m trying to get her to bite on something to hold, she wants to use her paws. She will nose target easy. I’m not doing any hunting to encourage a soft mouth.

ParticipantShe likes the loud squeaky toys to chase, so I can use that when I can have an loud annoying squeak. I did forget about that-thanks.
Regarding tugging- she likes the treat bunny bags the most. I put a fleece tug tied to it. I tried last night, moving it in a straight line and stopping for her to get it. (Did watch BDA tugging FB live) and letting her win. She’s not biting down. I’ve tried shaping to hole things, but she won’t bite down and hold, even if I delay the click. I really need to focus on getting her to play more. I do have lotus treat balls. Chaz will tug at the house, but hardly at a trial. I never worked thru it. I really would like a tugging dog. I figured I’d take her shopping at the Invitationals for something.
Thanks!

ParticipantThis is exactly what I was looking for 🙂 A question-Tali isn’t toy motivated. I really wanted a dog that would tug and be toy motivated. Any suggestions for a 11 month old? I don’t know if it’s too late. I’ve tried getting her interested with a moving toy around. She’ll follow and grab it a little, but won’t tug. Thanks!
