Your input on my dogs weaving would be greatly appreciated. I dont think I am signed on in this course, however, as a student that can post video. only watch other students videos. Sadly, there no longer seems to be other students! Watching some of there videos was helpful. I do see, that I probably have not added the distance as the I have gone along.

BTW looks like we are mutual friends of Chris Bach’s. Have missed my trips to WI to have training time with her since COVID. I need to get to her facility to see her new training building! Wish list for this winter.

    Good Morning,

Week 6 notes said something about an addendum at end of week. Is there more material to be posted?

    Yes, that does make sense.
The other thing I noticed with Classy and with my own dogs is that when they have been called off an incorrect entry their drive and desire seems to diminish. A loss of their confidence. Do you every just let them continue on the wrong entry and not mark and reward, or do you always halt them?

Also at what stage do you start increasing your speed as they weave, your distance and when do you start adding obstacles before or after the weaves? What criteria are you looking for that is your green light to start adding distance, distraction?

    Hello,

In the video when you and the dog are at 3 o’clock with Classy and he is not going to the entry pole, but entering in the middle, do you just make smaller approximations of reaching 3?

I like the concept of “what time is this entry” when looking for dogs line of travel on course

    Hi Joyce and Barb,

Joyce is asking if when handler at 5 or 7 o’clock is the dog’s path from handler, around far pole (12 o’clock pole), then entering and coming back toward handler. Was looking for a way to attach a diagram to this to better illustrate what I believe Joyce is asking.

Kris, this is the same thing I am getting with my older border collie. So am interested in the answer you receive. If I add motion, one step with dog side leg toward 1st polo, she gets it. But when I am static, from 7 to 11, she goes between the poles vs wrapping 1st pole. And this is an experienced agility dog.
