ParticipantSorry, we got behind because of Kennel cough and the holidays. Here is Addie’s first try at the relaxation protocol session. We worked super hard at shaping the down so now if i don’t reward her sit immediately she goes into and stays in the down. At first i tried to change it in the session but then let it go for the down. I think you can see an improvement in her relaxation in the last minute over the first.

ParticipantHere is tonight’s session. Better?

ParticipantHere is video of our breakfast session today. I think she was more relaxed at the end of the session. She isn’t very patient and pops up if i delay too long. I am trying to provide the cookies at variable times and if i push it she pops up and stands.

ParticipantBobbie,
I switched to kibble and she is still pretty excited but she is starting to show some relaxation. I was surprised this morning when she dropped to one hip while we were playing the game. I will post video tomorrow.

ParticipantI just did the first session of the relaxation training. I didn’t video tonight but I would say didn’t seem to relax at all. She just kept munching away and if I slowed she started pawing at the mat. I know you said it will take a while but does it take longer when the are highly food motivated? I used goldfish crackers because they crumble easier, but maybe I should try lower value, like kibble?

ParticipantNo, the 8 months off of trial didn’t help at all.She is actually worse. We haven’t had here checked for physical issues because she runs nicely in class.
Due to an outbreak of Kennel Cough in AZ no class this week. Here are a few videos from her first trial back after the 8 mos off.
Too me she looks very scared.

ParticipantI will be working Addie in the class. Just hoping that some information will help Cagney too.
