OK, clearer sends. That makes sense.

Longer space: I would love to use my apartment complex’s hallway for this, but technically not allowed to have dogs off leash in the hallway, and my nextdoor neighbor is completely terrified of dogs. Unfortunately, this space that you see in the video is the longest space that I have available inside my apartment. I might be able to make it over to Pam’s for some outdoor practice, or once she is out of heat, I could try taking it over to the dog park to see how it goes.

Stays. This seems OK-ish to me. Other than Ria sometimes gets “sit” and “down” confused.

Backing up is still a challenge! It seems like she is actively avoiding the target. If I put barriers in the way to force her to back up straight she will do that. Is this a good way to go about it?

I’m a bit behind this week with my homework, but I could definitely use some help this week! This video is driving ahead. Ria is nearly doing a 180 when I attempt to do a back cross.

Out on a walk, we came across some random human exercise equipment, so I figured, why not practice some agility? Here’s some more plank work and a little bit of a wobbly thing.

So I was doing the shorter tosses so that she would back up at all. If the treats went much further than what I was doing, she would just completely turn around to get them instead of backing up. So treat hand lower might still help in this case?

Yes, it was a bit of a super distracting place for her! I was practicing at Pam’s house where we have only ever gone to play with Tripp and Storm, so yes, lots of distractions! I’m borrowing that plank and it’s now in my apartment. Perhaps I’ll get some more practice at her place.

Hmm…Good point. She has done some flanking when racing in the dog park…I’ll have to work on that a bit more.

We have done “Paws up!” on so many different things even prior to starting this class, it’s almost a default behavior with any new object now! I showed her a jump yesterday, and she immediately offered “Paws Up!” on the bar…

Toy race, perhaps I need a better videographer for this one.

Plankrobatics! She seemed very distracted by things in the environment, especially balls and neighbors…

Tracy, your comments from the other videos were super helpful!
Perhaps you can help with backing up? Ria won’t go back in a straight line, she almost always backs up at an angle!

(Edit: why won’t this one embed?!)

By the way, should it be one video for each activity, or one video with all activities included?
