ParticipantEh …. I felt kind of disheveled through this entire session. Just didn’t feel like it was coming together.
The wrap to the blind was especially icky feeling. I didn’t know how to “start” – we were just kind of standing there. I want to get that move better!

ParticipantOn the 3rd sequence I couldn’t seem to find a comfy way to handle 4-5. After watching the video, I wish I had FC 4 and wrap the near wing. With all my bobbles, she really does try to read my cues, no matter how wrong they are. 🤦🏻♀️

ParticipantEh… this was my fault. The ground was a little wet. By the time I got to the last few sequences I had, created a mud traiL, and it got slippery. My sneakers were slipping. I’m pretty sure I was hesitant on my feet because of it. I was more concerned about watching Demi.
Anyway, looks like the yard is becoming less than desirable. We will get some videos to you this week from another location.
Should I go to week 4, or finish the sequences in week 3?

ParticipantWe had a lot of fun with these first 3 sequences. I was completely surprised at her level of understanding with very little arm movement, and a good amount of distance. I like that she’s not afraid to move away from me.

ParticipantA little extreme commitment go-out … on the regular “break and come with me”, I should have some commitment right? Just not extreme commitment? I don’t think I did that right, yet she still saved me.
I was a little nervous to move to the backsides, it I think I will give it a try this afternoon.

ParticipantThis felt horrible. Nothing felt in sync. However, while reviewing it, I see that all of the off courses are at the tunnel. She just couldn’t pass it up! Looking forward to doing these again. She’s also very high at Sotc. I’m thinking my yard is getting a little too comfy and boring.

ParticipantThank you so much for the “brief” feedback!! It was so nice to hear and quite a confidence booster. It is now on the fridge – right between the cut out jack o-lantern and last years Christmas card. 😊
The first drill was difficult, as expected. So when I get nervous about it, I appear to scream her name 17 times. 🤦🏻♀️ Omg.
I know my dig-dig-dig is either nonexistent, or late.We did have fun though ….

ParticipantI love her sass too!
I had a hard time with the far wing on #4. I was cuing it all wrong. I didn’t include it here.

ParticipantA common thread here seems to be my words. I run relatively quiet with Wilson. Now, there is so much emphasis on verbals, I am struggling to find a happy medium. I feel the need to have a verbal at every obstacle, when I think there are definitely times I should zip it too – possibly more times than not. I have a hunch this will be a continuous struggle for a while, since I am trying to emphasize more verbals with Demi than I currently have with Wilson.
I think im talking too much now ….
On the next video, a slight disclaimer. We had completed these exercises earlier, but didn’t get the video. I’m disappointed because she didn’t get it, and I had to demonstrate it for her a little bit. I needed to in the following video also, but just so you know, these were not our first attempts.
And finally …. the best news ever that I can’t wait to tell you …. Wilson is now officially a 20” dog! 💃 following last weekend’s trial, I decided I was going to drop him down to preferred. However, just before leaving the trial, I decided to challenge his measurement. What the heck…? I was going to drop him anyway so what couLd it hurt? And yep … he just squeeked in at 22”! I am so excited.

ParticipantThank you for the nice comments.
Demi and I had fun with these. It is pretty clear when I lose connection with her!

ParticipantWe made it back! Three nights at camp, and continuing gastro-support, she is ready to get at it!
After viewing our work, I think I need to turn my body more on the spins. I don’t think the toy, and therefore my chest, were ever in her view.

ParticipantHi Tracy,
As CAMP draws to a close, I want to thank you so much!! I certainly learned alot! I can’t wait to really dig into each of these lessons/skill sets for polishing and mastery, rather than to simply complete the assignment. Between your lessons and the feedback for each one, we have so much to work on!!
I’m sure I’ll see you around AU in the near future, and hopefully if this pandemic situation changes, a seminar will be in our future.
Good luck with all those puppies!

ParticipantThese tunnel exercises were fun. Demi had so much fun she started to return to me via the tunnel, so I went with it.

ParticipantThanks you! What you said makes perfect perfect sense.

ParticipantIn the first rep I steel like my go-go-go became dig-dig-dig too quickly. I think it was better in The next couple of reps.
On the second course, first rep I cued the course incorrectly … but she did what I asked! After that I felt like things fell apart. I don’t have good commitment on backsides, and then I didn’t handle the convergence at all. 🤦🏽♀️ She was getting hot and tired, so I stopped. To be continued…
