Cueing on time is not my strength!

    Back chain! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Those grids are fun! She loves to run. There was once, in the beginning, she went around the last jump. (Can’t blame the videographer, he’s usually spot on.) I repeated it, but I also moved myself closer to the #4 landing, and then ran so she could land naturally. I felt like it showed her the jump, and made her more confident. I’ll move farther back next time.

Pinwheel – when I reviewed I felt like I wasn’t cueing smoothly. In spite of me, I think I saw some improvement.

Pinwheel sends … my first question was where to start. I got there and didn’t know if I should line up with the jump, or run into it. After that I realized I was looking at the obstacle, not Demi. A horrible habit of mine!! I also noticeD when I reviewed, that my reward was being offered way too late.

Jump grid … this turned out to be more of a learning experience than an stride evaluation. It took me a while to convince her to drive the line. I def need to play more lazy bastard games. We both love it, and I can see positive results. When she did perform the striding exercise, I thought it was pretty smooth. It helped that I recognized that I was starting her way too far back. I didn’t move any jumps or raise any bars here, in either exercise.

I moved each of the jumps put about 18”. She certainly hangs with me regardless of the distractions. And around here, there is never a dull moment!

….and then the skys opened … and snow tomorrow. So over it.

I kept the jumps close on this one. I’m going to move them out a bit more today. I really tried to watch her eyes at all times. I have a tendency to move my eyes from her, to the obstacle. I felt like the last rep was the best because I kept my eyes on hers.

Trying this again. It was a Murphy’s Law kinda morning. Tried starting with tug toy, but the smell of the cheese balls was too much. Switched to a lotus ball, and the treat kept falling out. Decided to just throw the cheese balls, but that wasn’t much better. Argghh…

And … despite all the great issues and multiple disconnects, I feel like she had a better understanding. I tried to monitor my voice better, and move closer when she appeared not to understand. Maybe it was a tad bit better?

I’m still struggling to see which form of positive reinforcement works best. We try with a toy, but she really doesn’t love them. No doubt from her early experiences. I think I’ll try a treat hugger next.

Eh … this wasn’t my favorite session. I feel like when she got it right it was a fluke, and when she was wrong, she had no clue.

I was very uncomfortable being restricted from motion and handling. She obviously didn’t have an understanding of what I wanted , and I really don’t know how to fix it. Is it just a matter of more repetition? She also appears to get a bit nervous when we work too long, or tells me in no uncertain terms that she doesn’t uNderstand.

And the snow left! These were fun. She kind of surprised me with her understanding.

We regressed a bit here. I haven’t been thrilled with our 2o2o work, so I backed up to maxpup 2.

We had so much fun with these!

I have no clue why I am all of a sudden saying gogogogogogogo, when in reality I say gooooo go! Must be this isolation thing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Uh …. we’ve been struggling a bit on these. In the rocking horse, I got caught in the FC vortex and couldn’t get out. I know I should never had said “go” when I did in the first repetition. It went much better when I git her more engaged. Then I did a very unique pass-the-toy-behind-my-back Thing! What????

On the 3rd rep for the “go”, I was waiting for her to look at the jump, rather than me. It didn’t happen, so I moved on since that wasn’t the skill I was working on at the time.
