    Hi,
On the full course, I ran the backside blind then blind crossed the tunnel with Pippin 13-15. I didn’t think I had an independent enough backside yet with Lanna. It is also one of my weakest skills even with the stable pony :). I started agility in era of the front cross and blinds have been a much more recent skill for me.

For the skill sets I included first 2 and last 2 reps of go verse right turn. I will work left when the tunnel is closer to the other wall :). Go looks really nice although my ball toss skills need some work. Right is a work in progress.

    Hi,
Back side asymmetry may just be amount of practice. For a while she was struggling off the right so I’ve been trying to work that more. We haven’t done a lot of back side work so may be a number of reps issue.
We started with courses this week because Tuesday is the day I get the barn. It was very hot and humid so the videos are the total of the 2 sessions (minus a little start line work). I had to fiddle 9-13 due to space issues.

    Hi,
A little more from week one. Here are skill sets 5 and 6 and some bonus backside work. I tried to do some no motion work distance vs adding motion with less distance.

    Hi,
Here is our attempt at the first course. We did 3 tries at the course itself. It a separate session we worked rear cross on the slice to the backside blind (the way I ran the course with Pippin). I just included the end of that session.

My space is 60×120 so we will modify as we go or do bits and pieces.

    Hi,
One last video. She releases on my breath before I say okay a few times. I have gone back to start line boot camp to work on fixing it. Thanks very much!! We’ve learned a bunch!!

Although we have slacked on posting we have cont to work through the exercises. Here is some work from the past 2 weeks.

It’s not a great camera angle but much more balanced 5 jump grid with motion

    Our threadle and serpentine struggles:)

2 jump threadle (this is better than try 1)

Serpentine sequences (I don’t know if it’s cropped out but she got my finger not the toy at one point).

    Hi,
Finally made it back to start uploading videos. My foster leaves Sunday and I have a few days off next week so hopefully I can get everything uploaded. These are obviously from different days over the past week.

Serpentine Jumps 2-3. This is try 2. Try one we had to rotate the jump to get it to work.

Here’s the start of back chaining the 5 jump grid. I am off screen but moving.

Here is sequence work with the front and blind cross. We tend to lose the jump in the pinwheel dog on right only.

    Hi,
The above approach sounds like a plan. I have loaded 2 more videos from the back log to you tube (that catches me up to this week).

Here is tunnel exits. She did great. Obviously I need to work on my words 🙂

And the front cross blind cross. I swear every time I think things are coming together she gets faster and I’m late again 🙂

All jump grids have been 5 feet with 6 in bars.
Here is the repeat of the 5 jump grid exercise. Rep 1 I led out to toy and took 1 slow step. Rep 2 she broke and proved the long jump won’t be an issue.

Rep 3 (after start line work) I led out part way and stood still. Rep 4 I led out further and stood still.

This was awhile ago. I haven’t done. 5 jump grid since. Good thing she’s cute.

    Hi,
We have been working through the exercises and taping them but I haven’t gotten them posted. Memorial Day weekend is our busiest weekend of the year and we are up over 40% plus a mud pit in the backyard and plenty of rain. The glamorous life of an ER vet :). Here are a few of the videos posted in no particular order. I hope to get the rest loaded onto YouTube tonight or tomorrow. These were worked on various days over the past 2 weeks.

3 jump grid with motion given the problems with the 5 jump grid I was pretty cautious adding motion but I think it looks pretty good.

Curved jump grid – it took a little time to get into the flow of this but I thought by the end it was much better.

(Yes that is a train in the background)

    Hi,
Here is try one at grid with a little motion. The good news is no puppies were harmed in the taping of this video. The bad news is she totally misjudged attempt 3/4 and wiped out. The other good news is she seemed perfectly willing to try again on attempt 4. These are the only reps of this exercise.

    Hi,
Yes it was the first week on turf in quite a awhile. Ring rentals are now legal so turf was better than soaked grass :). Speaking of which, I may be watching not running Thurs due to the torrential downpours predicted (or if it stays north, in a friend’s yard).

I also got to go back to the barn I rent. Lanna was beside herself with excitement and back able to tug (yeah!!). Increased enthusiasm = increased speed = late mom. Clearly my dogs adjusted to being able to go back to ring rentals better than I did 🙂

    Hi,
Here are the next attempts at the grid. Same distance raising last jump to 10in first 1.5 reps(her eyes got really big when she realized the jump was bigger the first time) and then 2 reps at 12in. This was the total number of reps.

And pinwheel sends. These are the last 4 (I think) reps.

Hi, here is round 1 of the last jumping exercise. The facts are:
    1. Jump bars 4 in
    2. Jumps 5, 6, 7 feet apart
    3. The screaming is the neighbor kids on the trampoline

I have 3 jumps with a 6 in height, 4 jumps with a 4 in height, 5 jumps with an 8 in height (or I can put one or more bar on the ground). Once the stay at home order is lifted I can train at my friend’s building where this isn’t an issue.

    Hi,
The snow melted off so we tried out both exercises. They both went really well so hopefully I didn’t do something wrong :).
