    Hi,
Just an FYI. We are well, but a busy work weekend, wind, and snow mean a break from outdoor agility. Hopefully we will be able to start again over the weekend.

We took a little time off after back to back on line seminar weekends. This is try 2 on both exercises. I edited out the hot mess at the start of the decel exercise and just included the piece where I no longer had to stand facing her.

    Hi,
Attached are 2 videos for the wrap exercise. She wrapped beautifully until I added go. Then, as you see in the second video we had more trouble.

    Hi,
Here is a little take the jump after the tunnel work. I posted the very beginning and a little of after a little work.

    Hi,
The neighbor’s pit bull was watching us work this exercise. I was impressed she stuck with it as well as she did. Now if I can just master stationary 🙂

    Hi,
My first rep she drove beautifully to the toy, then she decided waiting was stupid (that was all removed to keep the video a reasonable length). After rewarding the stay a couple times in place I lost some drive to toy. I think either dropping the toy or squatting will shift focus back down. I’ll fiddle with both and see which works best. I think her first rep after tossing back to the stay she kept expecting me to toss it to her at some point 🙂 I’ll pull out the MM if I need, but she is already figuring out toy play with agility in the yard so I think a little patience will get me there.

    Hi,
I will adjust my positioning for the serpentine moving forward. Below is the grid exercise. Lanna decided the stay was irrelevant so we did some stay work prior to these 2 reps. The bars are 5 feet apart (measured) and 6in.

    Hi,
I finally have a little time off to upload videos. The Rocking horse ones were my last at the barn pre SAH order when I went to get better jumps for the back yard and loan out a few.
She hasn’t worked agility foundations in the yard before this week, so we are still working through squirrels and birds and such.

Rocking horse blind – still a lot of thinking and late on my end.

    Rocking horse send back

Serpentine 1 – we have been working it both right and left. This is about session 3

    Hi,
I had been taking advantage of ring rentals as outside in my yard is marginal in the best of times, but that may be shutting down this week. Here is a repeat of set point that I think finally looks good and Minny Pinny.

    Set point

    Minny Pinny – start

Minny Pinny – current distance (she was less sure to the left in this session and less sure to the right in the next)

    Stay safe.

    Hi,
I took advantage of an empty training building to retry the set point exercise and work the go exercise. Last time set point was 4ish feet. This time it is 5ish feet and the mm is 20 feet.

    Hi,
Here are the first attempts at the bending exercise and the set point. The set point is a totally new exercise so I did a handful to see how it looks as I don’t have the eye to adjust in real time :).

As an FYI, Work is going to try to stay open through this (animals will continue to get hurt and sick). I’m picking up an extra 1/2 shift Wed night (Influenza A) and as we have a doctor going on maternity leave and are already short staffed, I may have to disappear for a time at some point.

    Hi,
Here is some stay work at different obstacles. The cone on the teeter is to prevent her from flying across it and spooking herself. She really likes the teeter games we’ve done and has tried a couple times to self serve so I’ve been blocking it.

Here is some tunnel send. I know the flooring stinks. There’s a reason most videos I submit aren’t on this floor. We’ve been mostly sticking to obedience but I thought I could get away with some tunnels, sigh. Sometimes you make do. My student walked in with her field lab mid session. He’s really exciting:).

    Hi,
I’ve done a few reps of shaping over a bar in the past, so this isn’t a brand new behavior. Mid session she finally couldn’t take not visiting her fav person in the universe (she stays with her when I’m out of town). The figure 8 wing wraps were new, but this is the end of the session.

We have shaped tunnels and have done a little start line work in front of them as well. She has a short send. She did run around the outside of the tunnel at her foundation agility class a few weeks ago after the pill bug games 🙂

    Hi,
I am working on marking back feet but as always I am a work in progress. We are using Aaron Robbins mat targeting to train the flyball turn. It is a different mat and very different picture so I don’t worry about her figuring it out (and the pic gets more and more different as we get further down the training road).

I will try to turn earlier, but it is really my fluency not concerns about her coming off the wing that are the issue.

Thanks for all the help. I look forward to MaxPup 3
