Love the feedback. Need to get back out and rework this bit to work the collection. As you will see in my next video posting I am really needing to work his drive ahead – – go, go, go. Need to get out to a park somewhere because my yard makes driveline practice hard! Thinking he will pick it up once we can work it.

This all makes sense and focusing on the basics for baby dog is what I need to commit to and stop my obsessing. I can adjust as we go. And trying some stuff with Tripp to see what I can add for Storm. But focusing on core word verbals is a good lesson. Class this week had a huge send to a tunnel with a dw discrim to a tunnel and he nailed it. He is picking it up fast.
Before starting to work the exercises I have been spending a lot of time thinking about my verbal and the criteria. I have my standards from NADAC but moving into UKI adds backsides, threadles, and backside/front wraps and likely more. I know don’t want too many verbals and don’t want to dilute my left and right which is a 90 degree turn. Tight is my word for a frontside wrap and the dog is staying on the same lead – switch tight is probably what I would use if they are changing lead. I am sure I will obsess on this for a while. But I am writing all down. But the wrap challenge has me thinking about the wrap word.
Finally able to set up for the wrap proofing exercise. Clearly I haven’t worked tunnels as much as all the jump work from a 1 jump class. Spent some time with just tunnel sends. Wondering if my restraining him at the start had me leaning down to much putting pressure and causing the spin…or was it that he just didn’t know what the tunnel was.
