    Hello,

We worked on the turn aways. I think my body positioning was off for the tandem turns. We were pretty good on the lap turns.

    Turn away warm ups
    Turn aways in sequence

We also worked on the lead out exercise and we did have a bit of arguing. More about a sit than the stay. I did send her some catches, but edited most of them out. I am still deciding exactly what are routine will be.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Here is some teeter work from the other day.

    Bang Game

And then from yesterday, the RC foundation work. I think we nailed the no speed or excitement task. I had much more valuable treats in my hand then the kibble in the TnT. It was getting hot and interest was waning.

So, the handler reverted back to familiar territory on those serps. To answer your question, ready, set, GO! Yes, we want to RUN. Here is the handler working on it! We still have some angles on the jumps for success. BTW, we did this after the tunnel work.

    Improved serps

The lefts and rights were definitely soft, need to tighten those up. When we added the wrap to go back to the tunnel, I thought they were much better.

PS I didn’t get the job offer (smiling, the commute was too far, happy I didn’t have to make a decision and lottery tickets purchased!)…should be good for another few weeks! Off to get the darn manner minder working better for the RC work.

Here is our serp work. Probably a bit much but the weather was cooler and I am beginning to worry about getting a job offer again. hahaha Indy will be devastated if I actually have to leave the house and “go to work”. (Well, so will I but the $$$ will help next year when it is time to start trialing).

Sorry, our sit stay ended up outside the camera view.
    one and two jumps

We found the exercise from the far end to be the most challenging.

Oh my… double crosses. At first very frustrating, but then I redefined “early” and as long as there was good connection coming around the first wing, good things happened. It started being very fun. In some instances, no tunnel as I was working out my timing.

Wanted to comment that we are working on backing up to the teeter and a low Aframe. Also working on the Week 3 game. She is proving that her rear end awareness is not very good. Not much to video at this point. Also her sits while I am moving are improving.

    Thanks

Yes, I totally understand what you are saying about the backside wraps. Here is some work trying to straighten that out.
    Backside wraps
Then some not so tight blinds to wraps. And again, the brain seemed very sluggish trying to get the handling correct…

Today we worked on tunnel to wings (1-3). I watched the video, took notes, drew pictures and still was confused when I went out to the arena, especially with the 3 wing work. At 2:00, Indy says, Mom, let me know when you figure it out. I think Indy did what I asked, but I may have not done what you asked.

My editing skills need work. I was trying to shrink the size of the video and it looks like the cuts stayed in and the intended content was cut. Yes, caffeine.

    Thanks

Good Morning… Will the Lazy Game contacts impact a running contact? Should the game be changed in anyway.

    Thanks

Here is our Wingin’ it work. I probably could leave earlier if my brain would work fast enough. Some of our race tracks were pretty wide but I think most of her wraps were fairly tight. Lots of background noises for you!

    Hi,
We actually took a day off on Thursday. The treat huggers arrived. I think they are a hit. Here’s the whole thing on the straight lines. Still having difficulty with that rear to the right. Everything else was good. I loved the backsides.

    Rear cross troubles

    The good stuff

Off to pick up the judge for our trial. Be back next week.

Today we added the tunnel to the Straight Line set up. The added speed really helped the “Go”. I thought FC went better. We had trouble with the rear cross again. I experimented once in the other direction, which seemed smooth. On the backside, I tried to use less pressure. I think on the 2nd attempt, I really pulled back the pressure and we missed.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the above feedback. I felt like we made some progress.

Today we worked on Straight Lines, Four Ways and only did the 2 jump scenario. It was more challenging than I thought it would be. We had the most trouble on the GO!

    Straight Lines 2 jumps only

Then we walked around the arena working on the Motion Override. This needs to be an everyday, in the house and outside exercise. I didn’t feel like we progressed at all. As a matter of fact, I felt she was being a bit stubborn and forgot what sit means!

Today we worked on those FCs and BCs again. The handler still had somewhat high arms on occasion, but much improved. We worked hard on connection and better rotation. Indy thought the better handling was awesome… Seriously, it felt so much smoother. I then worked these same exercises with my older cattle dog and we seemed much better connected as well.

    BC and FC redo
    Otherway redo
    BC to tunnel redo

Lastly, practicing backsides.. she went to the back side of the computer looking for you more than once.

    Hi,

Here is a redo of the mountain climber – much better..

    Mountain Climber 2

Next is the love the slam it, baby. We did these a couple days ago. I think front feet were solid, but back feet took a bit. We don’t have a go backwards to get the back feet on. We also tried the advanced version, but nothing felt right, especially with the desire for the down at the end. (you will see I adjusted the advanced version when we were out today. Went forward, rewarded the down and then rewarded the release).

    Love the slam Baby
    Love the Slam

Lastly, we worked on the Motion Override. When I reviewed the video, it seems I was helping her with her sit. Although, I think when slow, she wasn’t bad. But if tried to pick it up, it took her way longer to process. Also, our rally work was confusing the exercise. If she sensed I was slowing down (shame on me), she sat a few times. Will keep working on this.

    Motion Override

    Thanks
