I think we need to work on our weave sends. It would be a great skill to have so I could walk over to the tunnel exit while she is in the weaves.
We definitely did this course on short sequences. I didnt always follow the numbers as you can see.
The surface is a little soft at Teri’s new place. I am thinking as it gets worked in and rained on it will harden up. We were both getting a little bogged down.
Tokaji has a very difficult time with the DW at Teri’s . We are working on a running DW and AF. I don’t know if the black slats on the DW are confusing her, but it will sure be nice when Teri gets a clip and go !

Driving forward in the weaves. Perhaps if an used the verbal go…she would have gone. Throwing a ball would have helped. It always trumps food
The teeter..:I forgot about the teeter for the last year. We started with 4 on quick release, but I notice she is no longer driving to the end. If I put a target down she still stops before the end and then goes to the target. I have been holding the teeter end up, treating her when she drives to the end, releasing the teeter and treating her when it hits the ground, then giving her a treat in a bowl just beyond the hoop.
I hope this is teaching her to drive to the end, stay on until it hits, then go

Tying the toy to her leash is a good idea, we will try it. Also having her sit, down etc, taking the leash off, leading out. Wouldn’t that be nice. Should we work this as a separate exercise for now or combine it with our training .
Sequences… did you really mean to have them run from 7-8 and bypass the weaves ?.. That was a little crazy.
There are so many choices to try, I only picked a couple. I didnt want to wear us both out

Working on the start line 🤣
Is it ok to put the treat in a bowl ?
Next we need to work on leash tugging. She likes to tug but not on a leash

I tried to leave earlier at 3 in the first sequence. I don’t know if I succeeded. But I can work on that. At .13 I drift lateral to the 4 wing, pulling her off the line.
The part I am having tons of trouble with is the last sequence 2-3. I see where I am backing up at .23 causing her to take rhe wrong tunnel entrance. At .32 I needed to wait until I had her head before going to the tunnel. We are working on a new cue to mean take the jump and come back to me….I think momo has too many shades of grey. So she is coming in to me a bit when I release her. A work in progress. We stil have no conquered 2-1 to our satisfaction

I think I have the turn on 3 tightened. I cannot show any forward motion coming across the bar ag 3 and the blind helps tighten the turn. She can jump tight ,

Yes, I think her commitment is one of our biggest assets. I still need to work on my position, timing, connection and leaving.
Todays work. I think I made a poor handling choice. At .04, she is in extension going from the tunnel and taking jump 3. This made it pretty difficult to get a tight turn on the wing. Turning tight on a slice is hard for us. So maybe if I did a wrap around the near wing, it would have gone better ????? Same at .12
At .56 i decided to go around the far wing. The distance was nearly the same, but i felt she could get into extension quicker and it was a better line to the tunnel. Do you agree ?

We had to leave zoom early as our “high speed” internet was used up for the month. That translates to “poor connection “ and frozen screen. The trade offs of living in the country.
The Zoom. class looked like it worked well

I am pretty confident in our “out” command. I think the more situations we use it in the better it will be.
I almost think I could tell her out and go the other way, but i still need her to wrap the wing so i dont think it would be helpful hete ?

I think “out” will be useful for us. It could be a combination of my being more comfortable with the timing and the meaning of the cue as well as her understanding.
Getting closer to jump 4 helped her with collection, but she is still not a fan !
She wasn’t a fan of collecting on 4 in the straight line sequence either.
When is the last day to post video ?

No, we have other words for RC on the flat etc. but I dont think didi means a big turn away from me, Just a lead change or a slight turn away. Coming out of the tunnel didi should tell her to take #3 on the wing farther from me, but I don’t think she understands she should go out and take 4. I think a separate cue might help both of us. I wouldnt have to be so precise.
I will try asking her to sit, but she will be pissed for sure. Sometimes she does it nicely, but sometimes the devil takes over.
So you are saying at 19 don’t wait for her to take 4, just show it to her and move on to 5 ?
    Here is today’s work.

Working on cleaning things up. I am still not happy with 3-4, didi means turn away from me, it works nicely for lead changes, and to get her to take the jump near the wing farthest from me. But maybe we need a separate cue for a jump so far lateral ?
And then there is #4 on the first sequence. I am rotated into her, I am looking into her eyes as she lands 3, my left foot is not stepping back, there is no swish from my left arm and still she jumps long ! Maybe it is the cool weather 🥴
