Instead of telling her “Go” when she enters the tunnel, I think I will try giving her the out cue.

i was thinking over in my mind, should I look at her landing spot, silly me..I knew better.

I can see on the last sequence how it was my motion that drove her wide, not my arm.
On to the longer sequences after the rain

I need to be a little earlier on my bc from 1-2 to take out the wobble. On the last sequence 6-7, i should have laid down a mouse line. It seems the tiniest arm fling now will send her 🥴

There is a lot going on here with just two or three jumps and a tunnel. I didn’t do as well keeeping connection with her.
I would like a tighter line on .07. I think my connection was good, timong was late, arms needed to be lower with. O swish ?
    Same at .16
She was not happy at .25. Cue was too late ? I really struggled with 3-5. It worked because I had time to get to the landing side 3. Suppose I couldn’t ?
Still not happy at .44 probably the same reason.
Not happy at .58 😊 I don’t think she will ever be happy with thay sequence 😆
I rushed 5-8. I probably could have stood still, maintained connection and got tighter turns 😔

Working on stopping my motion, rotating in and looking into her eyes.

Hi Tracy, I am having a little trouble knowing when to “let go” of commection. At .05 I release connection before she is committed to the tunnel. Same at .13 I maintain connection but needed to be closer to the tunnel to get a better line and I needed to cue the tunnel. Same at .29
At .46 I think if I had stopped and got strong connection the turn would have been tighter, I was worried about where I would be when I cued 4. That is a difficult line for us to get a tight turn since she is coming in on a slice. I need to tell her coming out of the tunnel to put in a chip stride (not our strong suit).
At .56 she puts in a chip stride but she is coming with such speed that her take off point is still too far away and the turn is not tight. I wonder if time wise it would be faster to slow and take off closer to the mump and get a tighter turn or jump the way she does ?

On the above, the curved tunnel and directionals is something we have to work on. On the last sequence if I turned sooner after the tunnel, I might have been able to turn her the other way on 4. I need to experiment to see how soon I can turn without pulling her off the jump.
    On this weeks short sequences
I could have turned sooner at .05 and I need to keep my hands low at .39
There is alot going on in the last sequence 3-4-5-6 and not much room or time to do it. I have never been able to accel and then decel. Tokaji picks up on the accel, powers up and there is no time for me to decel and for her to react 🥴. What are you thoughts on this ?

In general, she seems to be reacting more to every little cue.
Backside out of the tunnel is still a challenge. We get the first one easily, but she wants to come in to me after the tunnel being on that lead etc. something I have to remember
At .25 my feet are pointing to the wrong end of the tunnel entrance (just a little🤣) at .31 I am rotated more and have stronger connection
At .43 she had already decided we were going straight I needed to cue her at .42 ?
I had a much stronger cue at .57 and we had a better turn.
At 1.15 I needed to cue a tighter turn and maintain better connection same at 1.26

We tried to improve our connection and timing, the earlier the better.
At .32 I leaned in a little and she veered, it was only a little lean 🥴
At .41 and .43 I could be closer to the jump.
I like .47, but after that we are in trouble. Am I using too much connection right out of the tunnel before she is committed to the backside.
I think this connection stuff is a very powerful tool that I am not licensed to use yet 😏

Thank you for a great summer camp. Your suggestions were spot on. You kept us motivated during the heat, humidity and Covid, quite a tall order, but you met the challenge !

    Course 1
I can leave 3 earlier, I think she would be fine with it I just have to trust her. I will play around with running straight to the exit wing and cuing the backside.
In general I step away from the jumps, rather than staying on her mouse line. I need to work on that.
    Course 2
I didn’t trust Tokaji to give me a tight turn at 2. I think if I had stayed on the mouse line and did a BC we would have been good. I haven’t done a reverse spin in forever. I actually had to stop and think about how to do it. RC between 16-17 would have been soooo much easier.
    Course 3
Pretty sure she would take 7 on a verbal.
Again, pulling away from 15 instead of staying close to her line. I see where “go” made her go straight on 16 causing her to have to turn to bet 17.

    PKG 5 Course 1
I tried 2 options on backside 3. I thought option 1 would get me ahead, but it actually felt a little awkward. Could be we don’t train it as much. But since she has a pretty independent backside send I think I was more ahead with option 2 and with her tunnel send to 6 and coming back to 7 I didn’t need to be ahead.

    Course 2
I need to remember as soon as she is committed to backside 11 I need to cue 12. FC after 12 was better for us

    Course 3
I would have sliced 10 but was worried about being too close to the DW same for 13 and 4

We had some camera issues today. Out of the blue it would flip out of wide angle so you can’t see some of the jumps but you get the idea.
    Course 1.
I did walk all the course for the perfect line, then with my handling and finally running with my imaginary.dog.
I thought about a blind 3-4 but with the angle I thought what U did was better. If it wasn’t so hot I would have tried the blind too.
9-10 I thought she might see me crossing the tunnel so she would have a nicer line 9-10 than if I pushed to the back side of 10
Still working on thredles but it wasn’t so crucial here.
I put her ball out beyond 20 and she took it after 17 !

    Course 2
I knew 9-10-11 would be difficult. I walked out with a rear 9-10.. And going to the end of the tunnel. Running to the entrance of the tunnel was a better plan. I didn’t realize I needed a strong directional for both 9 and 10. But when I figured that out she got it.

    Course 3
A turn tight around wing 17 with a blind was the way to go for us. You will have to trust me on this since the camera decided to turn off. This was my favorite run off the day and it never got filmed 😞
