We warmed up on two straight poles, then added poles 3 and 4. Po found this to be very challenging. After the first two misses- I only show one here- I angled the poles a bit. He still had difficulty if I was near poles 3 and 4, but improved during the session. I straightened poles 1 and 2 but the end. I had to take the toy out of the picture towards the end, but he did really well with during most of the session.

By the end of this video, the teeter was not as stable as I would like, although Po did well with it. I have ordered a teeter- teach it! It should be here tomorrow. I also noticed when editing this that I was just always running with him, so I need to work more on sending him ahead of me and practicing some crosses.

I’m so behind! Here is our end position work. I attended a teeter workshop with Mary Ellen Barry and she has started targeting with a neutral head position because her observations have been that putting the dogs head low causes a weight shift forward. I know most people are targeting on the ground, but this made sense to me- at least with Potion. He has always seemed to prefer a 2 off position, so I have decided to do that instead of the 4 on. Mary Ellen watched him and thought either would be fine for him. Thoughts?

Yes, his parents are Match and Elphie. We had a bit of a break due to me being wimpy about the weather and then some technical problems. Here is with the poles at 1 and 7. I brought the toy out some and was pleased with how well he was able to continue working. That hasn’t always been the case in the past😊

I got brave and put the cheese on the target. He was fine with it, although he wasn’t the first session.

I plan to do 4 on with him. He has been pretty nervous about the teeter. I have a clip and go target at the end, but he and I are both nervous about him going that far😊. Here is our table teeters 1.

Here is our second session. When he missed the threadle cue, I thought he started to take it, then I moved my upper body and he changed to the front side of the jump? Not sure if it was just the motion or something else about my position.

This is our first time attempting the threadle and I didn’t like my cadence of the in in in. I will try to slow that down next time. I helped him more since he had never heard the verbal before. I also helped some on the serp with his jump verbal.
