ParticipantThanks, that makes sense and is helpful to know so I can get something to hold up my iPad for filming!

ParticipantAfter running my imaginary dog, it’s funny how helpful it is to have her there as you get that two-way connection. Kind of like feedback from the audience during a performance. LOL

ParticipantAs you say, I do think chill may translate into the balancing of decel to cue the turn and then moving out of there. I’m still rushing it in my walkthroughs and our first run or so.

ParticipantYea, the pole was on my mind, so it’s good to try and work around those types of things.
Yea, it made a big difference for her when I started past the tunnel to see the wing.

ParticipantThanks, Tracy for the feedback. I see what you mean about going the other direction at the start to help with that backside.
Yea I realize I keep waiting for her on the backside and on that 2nd time I kept telling myself to keep moving.
I was also wondering about momentum to keep up her dog walk speed, so that helps as well. And yep, it was morphing. Thanks for the reminder.
I see what you mean about my teeter path.
The last part did feel good, so I think that was working!

ParticipantWhoops – Sorry about that, I thought I’d gone all the way through their checkboxes. LOL
Hopefully, now it’s viewable.

ParticipantHey Tracy,
I have a zoom question for you regarding Kótaulo and upcoming puppy classes. I was hoping to try out some live sessions with him if it works out. I was wondering what works the best. I know folks use two devices working live. The iphone is typically filming and then iPad/MAC for watching.
My question is – Have folks found it better to link their earpods to the iphone or iPad/MAC to hear you when filiming? It seems like it works for some folks, but others sometimes lose sound/video. Thanks!

ParticipantAnd last is exercise 3. Same process as the others. 🙂

ParticipantHere’s exercise two. I included my progression of walkthroughs before and after watching them on video. My goal was to make the last one (after the video review) to be the closest to our run.
Between her first and second runs, I just tried to be more “chill” (for lack of a better description) in my execution.

ParticipantHi,
Here is exercise 1.
Well, I had a plan, watched the walkthrough to improve me, but she didn’t think much of my plan LOL. So I watched her feedback and tried a 2nd plan but my second plan didn’t make any more sense to her 🤣. I wasn’t sure it would because after watching her response, I wasn’t sure what she had read. I tried it one last time after she had been successful, but she still didn’t think much of my plan “hahaha”. So looking forward to your help on this one.Meanwhile…… to get the rest of this and the next exercises, I took it out of play until I hear back from you. 🙂

ParticipantHi Tracy,
Hope the end of your week is going well. Here is this morning’s run of the standard course. We got a little squished and substituted a jump for the tunnel (entrance) on the far dog walk side. Hopefully, that kept most of the challenge.
I ran her at the beginning and broke out the pieces. Then we ran everyone else and let her run at the very end. I liked the long break for her/me before trying it again. 🙂
On 2-3 I know she was locking onto the A-Frame and I had to use her name to call her off. With the backside there I wasn’t sure what I should do instead to help her know it was the backside but not the A-Framee?
Thanks in advance for your comments!

ParticipantThanks for clarifying these. I was getting myself confused, so the details help. My brain gets it going one way, but still struggles when I reverse it. 🙂

ParticipantThanks Tracy for the helpful comments
Seq1: I was wondering why it was harder in one direction than the other. I didn’t catch the lead change. That is helpful. Hopefully, I can start seeing it beforehand, but even knowing to look for it if she struggles in practice will help me start to see them better. Thanks!
Seq2: Yes I was really happy with her rear cross. 🙂 I’ve been working on those with her.
Seq3: I see what you mean about my arm. I thought of it during today’s walkthrough, but it still got big.
Yea, I wasn’t quite trusting the tunnel yet for the FC… LOL
And that is helpful on the last right. I saw where she had turned wide. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Tracy,
Well I wasn’t sure why Túlka flipped away while we were running this. But…. as I watched the video back, I realized I used “spin” and she did exactly what I asked. So yea for her listening to my verbal! Too bad I wasn’t using the correct verbal. Silly human.
However, I think I probably want to get her to where “in” is the only verbal needed for a treadle wrap? Also, did I even use it correctly pn the course, it felt backwards to me at the time (probably partially why my verbal was incorrect).
Anyway, I aborted since she seemed so confident and I wasn’t sure from my side so we tried a different approach and then worked some tunnel, right turns instead.
Thanks!Sorelg
ParticipantHi Tracy,
We gave the live session exercises another go, trying to incorporate your comments. I still back up for the throwback and I felt out of position in the moment. So I’m not getting that yet, but other parts felt better. 🙂 Thanks as always for your time reviewing.
