Whistle has had some veterinary issues (gastrointestinal) so havent been keeping up… all cleared for work now so I’m thinking of jumping back in randomly with some of the skill sets this weekend to see how it goes.
Hopefully have something to post soon πŸ™‚

    Hi there,
Here is the Concept Transfer: Serpentines video
DOL seemed a little harder at first coming out of the tunnel w/jumps in line.

Started on the discrimination excercises before it got too dark. Will definitely be working on this some more, Fritzi wasn’t very confident with it yet.

    Thanks for watching!

Hi there, we played around with the contact position excercise. This is session 2… wanted to check in with you to get some feedback on the mechanics before doing more.
    Thanks for watching…

    Hello there, here’s what we’ve been doing….
Wingin’ It Live: Tight Blinds To Crosses
It’s STILL miserable weather here. Trying to keep sessions short. This was our first effort, I edited out my course walking (read ‘confusion’ lol) and Fritzi’s pool breaks. My timing on the BC needs work for sure, especially the first set DOR to DOL I suspect that caused the wide turns (?). Feels like I should work on a more confident send too (?)

    WIL: Double Crosses
OMG this was a mess lol… keep watching though it DOES get a little better at the end (poor Fritzi!)

    WIL: Ladder 1 (pattern 2)
We were getting hot and tired so only did the 2nd pattern. πŸ™‚

    Thanks for watching.

    Hi there,
Haven’t had a chance to train/video this last week (had the flu, still recovering ugh).
The weather here is miserable so just a couple tries at the jumpers course to get back in the groove….
    Camp 22 package 1 jumpers course #2.

    Thanks for watching.

    Hi there,
Teeter bonus video: this is the whole teeter session. I got smart alecky at the end and tried running by but she didn’t understand to stay at the target. Wondering if there is a game to play on a wobble board or (?) that would help?

    Wingin it: countermotion commitment
I had more trouble than Fritzi. I practiced some without dog but still feels a bit awkward, looking forward to getting more comfortable with this as it seems so great !

Wingin it: tunnel to a wing
She liked the left turns a bit better than the right… getting tired too.

Hi there, weather is miserably hot here again. Tried the Contact Foundation: Motion Override game in the house during heat of the day. (No video). It was perfect way to train, wear out the pup and stay cool! Super fun !
Concept transfer: Straight lines 4 ways video:
I included the whole session here. Thinking I should do the mirror image too ? Will wait for your suggestions πŸ™‚

Hi there, hope you had a good holiday !
After reading your suggestions for the skills section
I took a couple days last week to work on throwing the cookie on the line especially on tunnel exits. Whistle quickly figured that out and I think it showed on the jumpers runs.
Here is the package 1 jumper course 1
I ran it twice at 16 ” (he competes at 20″). Had a bit of trouble on 14 in both runs. Changed the plan for 17 – 20 for the second run which seemed much better. My blinds could be smoother but not sure how to achieve that. Also,, Can I run these without using my arms so much ? Seems awkward.
Warning: there are some excellent distractions on this video..be prepared to laugh…horse, sheep and husband..lol

    Thanks for watching.

    Hi there,,
    Week 2 concept transfer games.
I worked the lazy game pt 2&3 and some of the warm up for blind crosses earlier in the week (no video). She seemed confident with the steps broken down so I went right into these excercises.
This is pretty much the whole session with pool breaks cut out

I thought Fritzi did greatπŸ˜‡ I gave her bonus pts for mostly ignoring the toy in my hand.
I need to do better 😬. My toy throws ran her into the jumps(went to tugging halfway through, hopefully better for Fritzi)
    BC’s could have been earlier.
I should have watered down the area before I started (would have been cooler and less dusty) and most of all I think I went too long. Fritzi looks tired at the end ! 😒
What do you think ? (Forty lashes to me?)

    Thanks for watching !

    Hi there,
Video of Whistle ESC 1,3 and 4. (Didn’t see Sequence 2 on my notes for some reason πŸ€ͺ)
    Still miserably hot here !
I’m showing first run through on these sequences. Thought I was giving tunnel exit information early but looking at the video I see it was probably a fraction earlier than my usual but not before he enters the tunnel. I also need to be more consistent with my ‘go on’ and ‘out’ verbals.
I see him with little questions on those tunnel exits and I definitely want to get rid of that.
Should I do some ‘go on’ exercises and try these again ?

    Thanks for watching

Thank you for your answer. I think I’ll commit to the 2o/2o method. Easier to define the criteria in my head. πŸ™‚

Would you please give your opinion on teeter 2o/20 vs 4 feet on end of board. All my other dogs have been 2o/2o but I see people are moving more toward 4 on the board behavior. Fritzi is the smallest and lightest dog I’ve had so not sure if that would factor in ??

    Hi there,
We are having 100 degree weather here so tried to keep things short.
Wingin it video: First part I was a little rusty on some of the verbals and lost the connection at 17 sec, totally my fault. Second part I tried to stay closer to the tunnel and use my real verbals πŸ˜‰.

    Teeter Games 1 video:
Unedited so you can see all the work here. I started the teeter games while we were on break last month, I’m using this high table as a platform which really helped Fritzi’s confidence. This is as far as I’ve gone with the training. Looking forward to your suggestions here πŸ™‚

    Thanks for watching,

Great to be back. Here are a couple of the games on video..
    The Lazy Game
Fritzi thinks I’m a total loser at treat throwing lol.
