ParticipantThanks Tracy,
I meant to tell you how well Grady has been running. Everyone comments about how fast and happy he is running…more fun, more Qs, more placements. We have been doing more UKI and some of the AKC trials have added ISC as part of the weekend. We practice some of the games, when I struggle with Ginger completing them.I do have question regarding the teeter…both Cassie and Lori are fans of her learning a stopped teeter. Grady has a running teeter, has only been called on it a few times. One time was a fly off when I truly believe he thought it was dog walk.
It sounds like you favor a stopped teeter for Ginger??

ParticipantGinger saw the canine chiropractor today and was adjusted at L6 R, L3 L, and T8 R. She thought that her left quads might be slightly different than right. She has a massage scheduled in about 10 days and I visited with our local canine rehab vet in the event she needs some PT…
We worked on the teeter with giant meatball treats…that made her very happy! She preferred running off the teeter rather than being lifted!
Lead outs and big lines: I discovered that Gingers start line stay is much better when she is further away from the first jump…she took off very quickly on the first rep!
Any recommendations for what course we should do next?
Thank you!susanrobinson
ParticipantGinger will get checked out this coming weekend…she did have a massage about 1 week ago.
Wk 7 Lead outs
We went through the sequence with BC, FC, lead out push. You will see a nicely executed FOOSH (fall on outstretched hand) with a roll. No human or dog injuries😳
Bang Game 2
Teeter with Meatballs
Wow! Meatballs made a big difference!

ParticipantIt is rather noisy in the building especially if it is windy. Starting during the week 3 and 4 games she was in season and maybe she wasmore sensitive. Ginger doesn’t seem to be painful anywhere. She is also at the point where her chest is dropping and getting deeper and I imagine this might cause some discomfort. I still have hope that she might measure into the 16” class. She was 18 1/4 inches a couple of weeks ago and last weekend we had a 17 3/4” measurement. If she is under 18.12” she will jump 16”.
The following videos were made while she was in season…still some weird stopping. Some bad throws on my part…
Looking ahead, driving ahead
Straight lines, 4 ways
Love the Slam (this is the noisiest teeter)
Wk 4 Wingin it

ParticipantGreetings! I have videos for everything but the last exercise of package 4. Ginger participated in her first seminar last Friday and Grady ran UKI on Saturday/Sunday with some very connected super fast runs. He also was running so fast the he had the most stunning teeter fly off ever in Gamblers (jump, weaves, teeter).
In a sad note, my almost 16 year old girl (34 days shy of 16) had some sort of neurological event on Thursday and died. As the vet said, the only thing that could have saved her was to turn back time. She was the last of her litter by over a year and ancient for a Springer. She once told an animal whisperer that she had headaches while running agility (it turns out that she had a dentigerous cyst-caused by an unerupted baby tooth that destroyed jaw bone). Every month since she turned 15 was celebrated with a COSTCO cake!
Some of these were very challenging!

ParticipantI think the drooling might be car sickness! I’ll try taking a less winding route to the building.
Sends – I pulled out a toy that I have not used in a while. It is made by a woman in Ukraine and has an unknown fur (almost like hair…)
Shifting connections – I didn’t always work the other side…
Serpentine Combos 1 and 2
Thank you!susanrobinson
ParticipantGreetings!
I redid the regular connection on the first video. On the second video, I accidentally combined the exit line connection and at the end the combo sequences. They are starting to feel more comfortable.
Ginger is having some odd salivation/drooling when I get to the training building. I’m not sure if she is excited to be there or if there is some sort of new chemical or cleaner I. The building. There has been some salt in the parking lot. No drooling at home…any thoughts??
I hope you are staying warm and have no power outages!!!

ParticipantGreetings!
I’ve spent the last few weeks on tugging and videoing previous and more recent games with Ginger. She is almost back to easily switching between tugging and food, but I think I need to always keep the balance shifted toward tugging.
Thank you for a great course. We still have a few games to finish.I attached a video of Grady from a recent trial. The team ahead of us finished a MACH. There was no notice to me or to the gate steward. We were on the line at a tunnel start. At least I still had his leash on. The celebration was so long that I had time to shift from being pissed off to playing with Grady. We could have left the ring, but who knew it would be so long.
It was his fastest run ever. It was not perfect, but still one of my favorite runs! He went around the first jump…I didn’t expect the speed coming out of the tunnel and should have been more patient…
It would have been 26 seconds under time (previous best was 22 seconds under time). An incredibly fast Aussie finished 1st only 2 seconds faster. Definitely a new level of arousal!
Do you know when Max Pup 3 will start??

ParticipantI totally thought Ginger was stopping and being weird because she was in season. She also wasn’t into tugging as much. Now I see it as my losing connection with her and she was puzzled🤦🏼♀️

ParticipantHi Tracy,
Here is the video with the pattern game included in between reps. It is a longer session than I would usually do…she did not get over the top in terms of arousal. Ginger is 7 months old today!YouTube was a bit uncooperative at first and I am sending three links…the whole video and the video split into part 1 and part 2.
Entire video: https://youtu.be/KyvnAdiRRsA
Part 1: https://youtu.be/Z2MnUm9dOZ4
Part 2: https://youtu.be/qkbVERlxP4w
Let me know if you would like something different. I have time reserved tomorrow and Wednesday at the training facility.
Thank you!

ParticipantYes, absolutely use the video…and I still have access to the training facility for another week and could video before and after a game.
I was thinking about signing up for the seminar…
I’d like to sign up for the part 1 version as well. Please let me know how to do that.
I either need to find some investors for the property or win Mega Millions!
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Tracy,
Here is the link to Ginger’s zoomies at the 30 second mark:
There is an incredible horse arena, equine rehab center, house, shop, 23 acres… You could move to Missouri!
https://www.horseproperties.net/properties/missouri/polk-county/pleasant-hope/57420The initial price was $1,250,000 and it is now lowered to $950,000
Income from boarding 14 horses is $8400 per month
Could add flyball, dock diving, FastCAT, etc

ParticipantJust a few more videos…I redid the Minny Pinny with the poles closer and earlier motion. One video has the funniest zoomies Ginger has ever had. Ginger is sometimes a bit brave for her own good…sometimes she will put her front paws on the downside of the teeter. I’ll say, not yet Ginger. One night, at 11pm, she has her front paws on the teeter and I am about 6’ away. She suddenly runs the entire length and slams it to the ground. Scared the crap out of me and I had a brief vision of a dysfunctional teeter. I made it into the most fun experience ever with several controlled teeters and lots of treats😳

Thanks! The facility where I’ve been practicing is changing their membership policy to a “pay as you play” policy. Instead of $60 per month to schedule time as it is available, they are changing to a specific amount per 29 minutes. For $60, I can get four, 29 minute, time slots. Basically, she has created a 300-400% increase. No one will pay that, nor can afford that increase. Many of us sent emails explaining that she is essentially pricing herself out of the market.
Back to practicing in my backyard. At least I have all contact equipment. We can also rent the two ring soccer arena for $50 per hour and will hopefully be doing some of that. The NADAC Club stores their equipment there.susanrobinson
ParticipantGreetings! We have done lots of practice and recordings and I finally had a chunk of time to edit and upload to YouTube. Ginger has been growing like a small pony. She already weighs 32#s and will definitely not be a 16” dog. At 5 1/2 months she weighed exactly the same as Grady. During one of the videos she lost 4 puppy molars (came out while tugging) and lost her last upper canine a couple of days later (shark teeth).
We struggled with the get out cue and also with strike a pose and the my manners minder was being hateful with repeated treat releases. I went back to attempt to get a better hand touch. It is all still a work in progress!
